MEP: ‘Conchita Wurst is a dangerous bearded genetically modified organism’

Bulgarian MEP Angel Dzhambazki has been slammed by Liberal Democrat MEP Catherine Bearder for making offensive remarks about Conchita Wurst.

Mr Dzhambazki has today been accepted into the Conservative Party's ECR group in the European Parliament.

Mrs Bearder told PinkNews: "The public deserves an explanation as to why Conservative MEPs have agreed to share a platform with this divisive and hateful figure who is so out of touch with British values of tolerance and compassion."
