Does the self discovery ever end?

A twist on the "Does transition ever end" question. It seems conclusive that transition does end on a physical level in that many reach a point where they no longer desire any physical modifications. But what happens with the mental aspects and ones self discovery? Perhaps there needs to be a tenure section of this site designed for the ongoing reflection from those that have largely completed their transition.

For me the answer is yes.

Mine started to end when i got my date for my GCS.

I had nothing left i felt my mind needed to do other then finish out my GCS to find my inner piece.

My transition has always been clear in my mind in where i needed to see myself.

It took months and months and thousands of dollars in the beginning with therapy to work my way through all the questions i had in my mind.

Each holds there own path and each will have there own way they will work towards there end or self discovery.

Sad part not everyone can get there.

I'd probably say, no, I'm still figuring things out for myself (though I'm only 2 months down this rabbit hole) and I continue to figure things out daily

I mean I really don't know what sexuality I am (I am definitely either Pansexual or Asexual I just don't know which one! Yeah I know they're complete opposites!)

I only recently discovered I was trans to tell the truth (less than a year ago)

I'm always discovering myself, and that's just part of being human, we all must find ourselves, not just trans people but all people. And yeah I know it probably sounds cliché.

I can't answer in regards to transition as I've not even started hormones yet but in terms of life I'd say self-discovery never ends. We learn about ourselves by interacting with the world so unless we can do every single thing possible in our given time, I'd say no.

This is pretty much what I was thinking. Self-discovery is how we learn and grow and that's something I never want to stop doing. I do help the gender self-discovery eventually settles down a bit.

If you are human, curious, and encounter new experiences I think that it is inevitable that you will change.   Whether that supports or impels self discovery probably depends upon the individual.    I have met many folk who have travelled blissfully through life without learning or discovering a whole lot about themselves.  For some this question does not seem to occur, for others it is not a priority, and another group perhaps see this as an unnecessary or frivolous distraction when they are focussed on entertainment, self gratification or perhaps their very survival.

While some may see transitioning as related to physical change, I see it more holistically and therefore cannot envisage a stage in my life when I will not be changing, learning or transitioning.
