I have been on T for a little over 4 months now and my next shot is the 31st of this month. I was meant to have a blood test 3 months being on T. However there has been a lot of delays with my GP and getting a slot in has been beyond difficult, now that I've gone over my 3 month mark should I get the blood test done after or before my next shot? I tried to call up Dr Curtis's office to ask, and explained the situation but I spoke to his receptionist and he wasn't very clear, all I got from him was that it should be done at the "peak". Should I get a blood test done before my next shot? Or get one done after the shot.

I am not a doctor so I can't be too helpful... when my GP tells me to have a blood test 'at the peak' he means 4-5 days after the T shot = when the level of testosterone is at its highest.
I usually get a blood test on the morning of the injection (before it's done), and then a second one a few days after the shot, but that's my doctor's preference, which might be different from yours... If you want to play it safe (depending on your insurance too^^) and do both, I guess that at least one of the tests will be the one your GP would like you to do?...  I'd advise you to ask whoever is in charge of your treatment for a precise explanation again though - maybe send them an email? I don't think that waiting one more month to do the test would be harmful (although I don't know your medical history so I might be wrong - just telling you what my doctor told me as an indication ^^)
Good luck :)

i was told 3 - 4 days after your shot but that is just how my doctor likes it i guess.

Thanks for the help guys, I feel a bit better knowing that it's not such a huge deal lol:) it seems more likely now then that he wants one after my shot, but I will opt for both just to be safe ^^
