Good article. The whole thing is bizarre. If people think this will make conservatives say, "Huh, guess we can't prevent gay marriage because of those loopholes, so we should go ahead and legalize it across the board," they are sorely mistaken. We're all going to suffer. If she wanted to have surgery, that's fine with me; the issue I have is that they publicized it when it's already difficult enough for us to be taken seriously.
