I'm Traci. A TG MtF, older, 59, looking to transition, but for now just looking for a place to share with others going through the same things. I'm currently married. My SO is completely unaccepting and I have a 15 yo son.  Had been seeing a therapist and received the letter recommending starting hrt but haven't been able to pull the pin to blow up the marriage and begin transition. A few friends and family know where I want to go, but for the most part I am still extremely closeted.  I hope to meet some friends here, especially some more mature girls like myself struggling with similar issues.

A few years back I had someone in my support group who was 80+ and transitioned. She divorced at senior age and her new wife (Somewhat younger) seemed very supportive. She had some complications due to her age and had to accept that but it just shows that there's always hope even when things look bleak

I hope you'll find a time and place where you'll be able to live that dream

Just breath, one day at a time.  There is alot here to read as Im sure you will find information that may help you.  There are many not so young people, me included who have gone further than we could have ever imagined.  Its not an easy path to be sure but one that others have traveled before you.  I don't know anything but my opinions and what turns and steep grades I encountered on my particular way but I'm willing to share and be available as I know this can be lonely.
