London Transgender Film Festival planned for October

LONDON — Transgender people and transgender issues have recently been given greater prominence in a world that has long ignored them, with Laverne Cox's appearance on the cover of Time magazine a seminal moment for society. As part of this movement towards greater visibility and acceptance comes London's first Transgender Film Festival, an evening of short films on Saturday 11 October, which attempts to redress the frequent imbalance of LGBT festivals which often give the 'T' the short shrift.
