I had planned to tell my mom I was transitioning this August. A lot of things were happening that made me feel I needed to talk to her earlier. Today over lunch I Told her my plans. It went better than I expected. She was shocked, but said she would all ways love me and be there for me. I feel like such a huge weight has been lifted.

Hi Grace, how are you? It feels wonderful. Honestly I was so nervous that I felt sick after, but I'm so glad it's done.

I'm glad your mother was supportive.  Having the support of family is such an important part of one's transition.  It makes things much easier during a difficut time.   Congrats! :)
