Just Ole Me

I've been on high Spiro for over a year and low level estrdiol for 4 months. My endo doubled my estrodiol about 2 weeks ago as my estrogen was only 47pgml so I. On a medium level dosage now.

For the past  9 months, when slightly hot I sweat like crazy. I mean like crazy really easy and fast. My wife is shocked at how quick and sweaty I get. We live in the gulf region which is hot and humid but geez. She doesn't  know anyone that sweats as much and as quickly as I do now.

Anyone else experience this in early HRT?  Did it ever go away?

I sweat a lot if its warm and some what humid and I exert myself its kind of over whelming some times

It did the opposite for me. I hardly ever work up a sweat, though if in the sun for awhile or really exerting myself I will sweat some. I use to sweat fairly easy pre hrt too!

I still sweat, but not as heavy now. The great thing is with my new body smell no odor!!  :)

Amen to the no funk deal Jessica!

Most of my temp swings are where i'm freezing and I keep a sweater in my office for when that happens just like all the others girls do. I have noticed that I seem more susceptible to the heat now too. I have the A/C on in my car a lot more than I used to.

well, I haven't been on hrt all that long, and it is winter here. But I have noticed I sweat much less than previously and I can wear warmer clothes now without overheating.
A few days after starting hrt, I did get some sweating and hot flashes, but I understand that was probably the stage when my hormones were switching over, or both were very low... It only lasted not even a week or so.

O, and the no stinky thing, I LOVE it!!!

by the way, not everyone responds the same to hrt, so just give it some time and discuss such issues with your endo when you see him, it might just be incorrect hormone levels.

HRT can certainly have that effect, I had it shockingly during my first attempt at transition, middle winter even the slightest exertion was all I needed to have it pouring off my face. It certainly is distressing. This time I did initially have some sweating but not as much and that has since dropped away a lot. I'm on a estrogen and progesterone with Spiro, but I have no idea to what degree any of that has an interaction. I know that low testosterone will cause sweating and that would be the Spiro at work I guess.

I had this sweat issue and did raise this about a year ago in this forum. It was not the amount of sweat but how it came on with a prickly feeling then it was a freeflow. However, now after 18 months things have change radically and I actually perspire ("sweat" is the male terminology) very little. I live in Asia where the heat and humidity is akin to the Gulf states.
When we first start our journey the perception and moral values all dramatically change in wonderment. As we evolve further it all becomes normal again but the journey has changed us forever.

I sweat about the same.

...although I do maintain to people that now that I'm on estrogen, I do not sweat; I simply extrude female pheromones.

Sweating is not so much the heat as it is the humidity. We sweat and it evaporates and then is supposed to cool us down. In the gulf states with the humidty near 100% during the hot weather, sweat does not evaporate and therefore your body puts out more sweat and the air is already saturated and no evaporation of the sweat happens you just get soaking wet.

About the funk though, the lack of body hair cuts way down on that.

Once the flow starts it is the same as it was pre-HRT however it does
take a little longer to get going and then once it does the previously
offending aroma is no longer there - That is the big plus...

be well

Interesting. I've been having some issues with night sweating while asleep which has been getting very annoying and making me a little worried too. Pre HRT I sweated very little compared to others I know (nor was I prone to male smell issues thank god). But almost every night now I awake bathed in sweat, its horrible. It's cold where I am and I'm not too hot, it never seems to be an issue during the day either. I'm not sure what's going on. The only things that have changed are that my E dose has gone up and I've started to quite often have a miso soup for lunch which I then grate ginger root into (I just like ginger) but that's many hours before bed.. Has anyone else had a similar issue?
All these years, all these memories, there was you. You pull me through time.

I do not know if it is because I am on a low dose, but I have it bad. I sweat quite a bit now, but I do not know if it is more than usual because I sweated a lot before. The bad thing is that my odor has not reduced, but my sensitivity to smells have. My odor has never really been that bad. It is just when the smell is magnified by HRT. After a day doing yard work or if I am outside a lot, I am disgusted by my own odor. Frequent baths and reapplication of deodorant are a necessity. Oh well, I can't have my rainbows and unicorns all of the time.

Yes yes yes yes yes

Same for me, Jessica.  My former body odor problem disappeared completely just 3 weeks into HRT.

But also please note...I don't take spiro, even though I have it at my house.  Some other girls have commented that maybe Spiro might causes more sweating.  I cannot speak from experience one way or the other about that, but I can share what great results I have had with estradiol valerate and micronized progesterone.

Between around the 3 and 4th month mark on hrt I would get hot flashes where I'd sweat at night a lot no matter where my a/c was set. However, that has since faded and now I seem to sweat less. I never had any problem with being smelly even before hrt. Now, when I do sweat it's usually on my arms and legs. However I hardly sweat at all under my arms or on my feet. I never sweat much in the usual places. I guess I'm weird, lol!

Thanks all!
I'm thinking maybe bring early in transition with now low T and climbing but still low E that this maybe the issue. When my enforcement gets my E up to the range she wants and I'm level got awhile. I'll report back if the heavy quick sweating has subsided.
