NoahLeeK

Hello,

My name is Noah and 3 weeks ago I publicly came out to my friends, family, and girlfriend as a female to male transgender. I am amazed by how much support I have received. My first appointment with my gender therapist is in 2 days, and I swear it cannot get here soon enough. Even though I pack my boxers and bind my chest, I am still having a hard time passing as a male in public, which really bothers me. I have short hair and dress like a boy, but I guess I just have a feminine face. Unfortunately I just found out that my health insurance does not cover any of my gender therapy or HRT.
Much love!

Hey Noah, welcome and I'm so happy you're being accepted and supported for who you are! I hope the appointment went well, please don't feel afraid to ever come on here to talk/vent or get advice if you need it, there are many people here like you who can relate to how you feel and we'd love to help. Good luck! I still have a hard time passing as female; I'm quite androgynous looking but more on the female side. Good luck with everything I hope your journey with transition if that's what you choose goes well! :)

Welcome Noah! It's awesome that your family, friends and girlfriend are being so supportive. It feels good to be around folks who know and love who you really are, especially when the general public still looks at you and sometimes sees a female. Which is, ugh, incredibly frustrating.

Hope your first appointment with your therapist went well!  :icon_biggrin:
