Thanks Stephanie, I found this article both interesting and useful :)
I refuse to live in fear! Come hell or high water I will not back down! I will live my life!
But you have no life.
Ha. Even that won't stop me.

I will protect even those I hate, so long as it is right.

Fantastic share! Thank you! What I love is all of the links in that article which direct to medical research, which I'd been looking for, but couldn't find on my own.

This was a well written explanation of the way things are for trans* folk.  Sadly, going up against someone with a closed mind this is not going to cut it.  I have been there, done that, and am still looking for a way forward.  As soon as I admit it came from Huffington Post Gay Voices I can hear the other's mind click shut.

Sad...

Thank you very muchly for the link, Stephanie. It's greatly appreciated. Having read quite a few  of the studies relevant to the piece, I do quibble with the scientific validity of statements for one of the areas a tiny bit but that's just my personal layperson view. Beyond that small issue, it is an astoundingly succinct yet detailed exploration and rebuttal of baseless arguments. I highly value it, especially given my view of Huffpost coverage of T issues hasn't been too high in the past.
"In the middle of the journey of our life, I came to myself in a dark wood, where the straight way was lost. It is a hard thing to speak of, how wild, harsh and impenetrable that wood was, so that thinking of it recreates the fear. It is scarcely less bitter than death: but, in order to tell of the good that I found there, I must tell of the other things I saw there." - Dante Alighieri
