I will be off forum indefinitely due to a personal crisis.  Many thanks to all, especially Aisla, Ativan, Patty, Jessica, Julie and so many, many others

Hopefully I will be back again.

I hope didn't drive you back to drinking by getting you to talk about it, though I would think you heard it all before at the AA meetings you recommended. If you have, maybe you should go to one as they helped you before.

Please trust me on this, SJ would be sad indeed if any of you are having those kinds of thoughts.
Your support would be a happy thing indeed.
I know you all do, just as SJ has supported all of us and so much more.

SJ wanted me to let you all know that things are getting better and there is hope at the end of the tunnel.
Also that they are not in a psyche unit anywhere... I know that nobody is thinking that...
Life takes turns that we don't see coming sometimes and this is one of them.
SJ is busy with life outside of the forum, and needs to stay focused on the tasks at hand.
Things will be OK, there isn't any breakdown, but it has been a very emotional time, just the same.
It's been a tough few days, one of those times when our lives outside the forum needs all of our attention.
I have no doubts that SJ will be back, better than ever.
*If there are times that SJ may have time to take a peek here, this is a good place to comment on your thoughts.
For those who do, keep SJ in your prayers.
Know that you are all in SJ's thoughts and prayers; and they will return here, as the strong and caring person we have all come to know.

Today I received a further update from SJ which, given Ativan's earlier post, represents further good news.  As I am not very good at paraphrasing another's thoughts, I hope that SJ will not mind if I quote directly from their PM.   


"I need to be very quiet now and withdrawn but the answer is quite clear and I will be in retreat for a while, drawing closer to God, recharging, and rebuilding lost ground with my family and job."

"Give my regards to the forum, let them know that I am ok but doing what I have to (do).  I am very tired but also have hope that healing is taking place on all levels.  I feel that a corner has been turned.

But I do need to stay off forum and put all energy into my wife and family.

i'll say a little prayer for you. having a hard time is hard, even the strongest can be defeated if it's hard enough. i really hope you can get through this in such a way that you don't need to worry about how to stay alive and also give your family a chance to live well.

oh, and my post in the denial thread is purely an answer to jessica's post. i don't seem able to decipher your writings quite yet, so i'd rather not assume either way and only comment when you feel like you can explain things a little better. all i can see is that you're making an effort and trying to make the right choices, and that is a good thing. you're less likely to regret a choice that feels right for you when you make it, even if you later find out that a different choice might have been smarter.

don't stress too much with things that aren't necessary to stay alive, it's ok to take it really slowly when other things need more attention.
