I definitely think you have potential! I actually thought this was the trans women thread at first and you were asking the other way around lol. I had to go back through and fix it! So yes! You already passed at least in my mind!

Hi everyone, first time posting. I am pre everything. Could you tell me if I could pass, and also my age. also if u don't think i pass, please say why. thank you very much!
sorry if i did anything wrong, this is the first picture I've ever uploaded.

I think you're more in the androgynous realm, rather than looking definitively either/or. I would say that the way your shirt is gives off a more feminine look due to the low scoop of the neck.

Does my body pass? I'm approaching a year on T and there hasn't been a whole lot of fat redistribution. Which sucks, considering I have a super feminine shape.

In the left picture I'm wearing tighter pants than I normally would, but a larger shirt (although it's from hot topic so the fit is a little weird). In the right one I'm wearing basketball shorts, which I don't wear that often, and a tighter shirt than I would normally wear.

I also have super weird disproportionately small hands that I'm really insecure about, but it's a little harder to hide that considering how many things I do with my hands.

You definitely look like a cis dude from this angle.

I wouldn't worry about your hands, really.  They look proportionate to me. In fact, I think your hands look bigger than mine (I have tiny hands but there's nothing I can do about it so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Also if you want to help masculinization your shape, try lifting weights and lowering your bodyfat%. You don't have a high bodyfat, I would guess around 20% from the pics. If you dropped a few % I guarantee you'd see improvement in having a more masculine shape. Men naturally have lower bodyfat than women

But yes, I'd say you pass. I'd stick with the larger shirt

Lionheart, I think your body passes fine.  Your hands look proportionate.  i have seen trans guys with smaller hands, for certain.

Body definitely passes, ya look like a dude and a regular proportioned one at that. If you are concerned about fat redistribution and your physique, you should slim down some. I think you'd be amazed at the difference. Changes in body fat are going to be much more subtle if you already have excess body fat.

Lionheart, I would definitely say you pass.  More so in the looser shirt, but in the tighter shirt you just look like a cis dude with the kind of awesome bubble butt my gay male friends would kill to have (and occasionally add padding in order to make, LOL).  There is definitely nothing in those pics that says feminine to me at all.

So I'm pre-T and aware I'm not the most passable dude ever--this is actually one of the better pictures scarily enough--but I was wondering... do my eyebrows pass?  See, I have almost no eyebrows so about a year ago I got very feminine eyebrows done with permanent makeup which takes between 2-4 years to fade away.  So not only am I dealing with the fact that I have practically no eyebrow hair at all, I am also trying to hide my permanent makeup with regular makeup.  Success?  Do they look guyish or still girlish?  Or do I just look like I took a Sharpie to my face, a genderlessly horrific style?  (By the way, I know that this is a crappy haircut for passing but I am living in the Caribbean until the end of November, there is no A/C and it is HOT HOT HOT so the buzz cut is my buddy for now!)

And in case you were wondering, I just took a shower in this pic, hence all the water dripping off me.

FtMitch, honestly its hard to tell if the eyebrows are working off one photo. They looked fine to me and I didn't know they were makeup till you mentioned it. I can't say how they hold up in person though.
You do pass in this photo IMO.

Here are a couple work photos. I'm in a girls uniform so try and ignore that. I'm waiting on some mens shirts but they are taking a while since I need an extra small. I'm feeling decent today though.

Hey WanderingFace, looking good!  The close up pic (pic number one) is a little more feminine, but that's probably just from being able to see the darker lash color since it's a closer shot.  The second pic is a pretty good pass--I would say that combined with a men's uniform and masculine body movements you will definitely be passing.  :)

@FTMitch, you look good! I think that the buzz cut doesn't look so bad on you because your face isn't very round so it isn't as bad. You pass IMO.

@WanderingFace,  I agree with Mitch that you pass a little bit more in the second picture due to your long eyelashes, but keep in mind that guys usually have longer eyelashes (at least that's what I heard). So flaunt 'em. :) Depending on mannerisms and clothing, I'd say it's a pass.

Thanks for the input guys. Good to know I'm on the right track, even with crummy photos like those.
I'm not hyper masculine but I'm not femme at all. Besides my work uniform all my clothes are guys clothes. I threw out my last girls clothes about five years ago.
I'll have to update in what is a normal outfit for me at some point. According to my girlfriend I have pretty typical male patterned speech for our area. I've received a few odd stares as of late since I think I'm passing into an androgynous zone overall with my voice and looks combined.

Wow, you guys all look great. :)
I know it's easy to be insecure and focus on all the negatives you perceive, but I must say, I don't see anything to be insecure about.

I've been keeping tabs on this topic for a while, and finally decided to join this wonderful website officially.
So, anyway, recently I've been wanting a haircut. With my hair at the length it is now, it tends to get all poofy (especially fresh out of a shower), and I always feel as though it emphasizes my feminine facial structure (though the poofy-ness isn't really bad in these pictures).
Here's two (sort of crappy - I apologize) pictures. I know it would help to get new glasses, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
Regarding being read as male, I'm pretty sure most see me as female, though my one friend seems to disagree.

What do you guys think? I appreciate complete honesty.

I would appreciate any haircut suggestions. :)

IAmAiden'sUsername, I definitely see you as male.  You don't come off female to me at all.  Maybe a little on the young side, but definitely male.  I honestly like the hair; however, if you are worried that it may be feminizing you then I would suggest shortening it on the sides and trimming some on the top.  That way it won't poof around your head so much.  But honestly it look great to me.

Never inserted a picture this way before so I hope it works.

I am blessed with my dad's jaw :P. I'm pre-anything and pass more than 50% of the time I'd say, but I get a lot of confused gazes. Especially because I'm not open and blunt about wearing a binder yet, I wear it but then camouflage the flat chest with a sweater (contradictory much).

What do you guys think?

FtMitch: Oh, awesome! I'm glad to hear that. Perhaps it's my voice that causes people to read me as female. Heheh, now I'm curious as to how young I appear. Oh ok, why thank you. I'm happy to hear you think my hair's nice. Maybe I'll leave it be for now and get it cut later. Thank you for the hair cut suggestions! :)

November Fox: Oh yeah! You've certainly got a nice jaw. All I see when I look at you is male. :)
Are you nervous about making it clear that you have a flatter chest now?
Ahh, heheh, yeah, I used to wear sweaters often too, but now I've gotten more into layering. Wearing a polo or button down shirt under a mostly unzipped zip up hoodie may help (that's pretty much what I always wear these days), but I'm no expert in 'passing'. It's always best to just wear what you like and what's comfortable, unless you really want to strive to be read as male, though I guess depending on what you like wearing the two aren't necessarily mutually exclusive. Sometimes I get the urge to wear some of my old skinny jeans, but I never do just because I know I wouldn't be read as male at all.
But anyways...Bottom line is, yes, you definitely read as male to me.
