This is my first time posting on this thread, so I hope I did the links right...and sorry that I can't take a decent picture to save my life.

I'm pre-everything, and still in the closet, so I'm a long way off from going full-time or anything like that. I'm just wondering where I'm starting from and if it would be possible to try passing when I'm out by myself sometime.

Since I didn't take any full-body pictures, I should probably mention that I'm 5'11" and 3/4 (basically 6 foot), which helps me get "mistaken" for a guy pretty often lol. I'm sixteen, but I probably don't look a day over 12 with the baby face thing I've got going on, but oh well.

I'm fully aware that I don't pass that well, so don't be afraid to be honest. I promise you won't hurt my feelings  [emoji23]. I'm looking for honest criticism here. So if you saw me on the street, what would you think? Thanks in advance!

p.s. all you guys look great  :eusa_clap:
You look like a 16 year old boy to me... at least in most of the pictures. You have the expression and body language down and your looks are androgynous to masculine.

Passing is far more than a pretty face but my honest opinion is if you get on the blocker soon, you should have little difficulty passing. Your face is currently between androgynous and feminine with the additional bonus that long hair should look good on you.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to go on blockers since I'm not in a position to come out, but I think I'm nearing the end of puberty anyways. Luckily, most of the women in my family are lacking in the chest department. The only thing I'm worried about is the hips, but with some exercise and a little vitamin T, those should slim down.

Thanks. I guess being exhausted from starting school helps with that "dead inside" look haha

I know I pass for many peoples in real life. But what is your thoughts, guys? The pictures are about one or two years old, but I hasn't changed so much since then. The picture where I have shortest hair are the oldest one and since I didn't like that haircut, I wouldn't go for it anymore. The first picture to the left is the most accurate picture of how I looks like today.

I also have some questions.
1. Can I pass with long hair or is short hair best for passing?
2. Do I pass or not?
3. Which age do I pass as?

I think you look best in the pic on the left; longer hair definitely suits you. You look sort of inbetween but look more male than female. You look around 16 to me.
They/them pronouns preferred.

I'm 15, 16 in a month. 4'11 but whatever xD

Dude, you pass and you look your age. 15-16 is best time to pass anyways since not all guys hit puberty quickly (as is your case) Hell, when I was in ninth grade there was this kid that didnt look like a highschooler until 11th grade, lol.

Chances are the voice might not make you pass but if you practiced it somewhat you'll pass as youre age. Youre lucky.

Hopefully you get on T when its legal so you can smoothly transition

I apologize in advance if I format this post incorrectly in any way, as this is my first post on this site..
Here goes nothing..
(I also apologize for these photos being so up close and personal, all of my photos are selfies that don't really expose below my collar bones..  ::))

I feel often that people don't know where to place me when they see me. The ma'aming has lessened, but it hasn't been replaced.. I feel people go out of their way to avoid using gender pronouns around me at all. I just.. exist. :-\

I've been strongly debating getting my hair cut at a barber for the sake of passing, but I also want long, glorious hair to couple with my facial hair once it starts growing in thicker (I know it's not visible in the photos, as it's just now started to grow in to the extent that it's sort of visible to people that aren't nearly snoot-to-snoot with me). I'm up for suggestions either way!
I am also 19 years old and have been on testosterone since March 9th, 2016, for anyone curious. :)

Nathanos,

Welcome to the site.

Congratulations on starting HRT. Your first two photos seem a little more feminine than the last one. I think your idea of a shorter haircut will help. You might keep it short till your facial hair comes in a little stronger.

I also want to share some links with you. They are mostly welcome information and the rules that govern the site. If you have not had a chance to look through them, please take a moment:

Once again, welcome to Susan's. Look around, ask questions and join in.

You pass and look hella cute :). I wouldn't cut your hair if you're happy with it being longer; I think it's more important to be happy with your presentation rather than follow rules to conform  (I think your hair suits you). By around 6-9 months on T you'll pass to everyone you meet so it seems pointless to get your hair cut as that's not really a long wait.

I'm currently growing out my hair from an undercut and it's nost likey gonna take ne a year to get it at least shoulder length :(

What do you think? First time wearing a binder (38E chest  :embarrassed: )
quote]
I think you sorta look androgynous. I think sorta longer hair with a quiff would make suit you better; as well as squarer glasses and more close fitting clothes. And the binder makes you look super flat so no worries about that.

Congrats on starting the trans journey btw; I can't imagine how hard it must be to start at an older age.
