Wow in less than 24 hours i will start HRT. I am SO very excited. Yesterday was my 3 month therapy appointment and my therapist asked if i was ready and i sat there for a second and then broke into tears. It was like 45 years of unanswered questions were finally answered. I was so happy, so we called the Endo Doctor right then and they had an opening today. WOW! So i went and got the prescriptions. Injectable estradiol, finestride, and Spiro. On the down side noone around here carries the injectable estradiol varelate. So its on to the Sublingual form. They should be ready Tomorrow. Another sleepless night. I want a cookie! ;D ;D ;D

I am about to bake chocolate chip cookies.  I'd give you some, but I sort of live in LA.

Congrats on the girl juice though!

I refuse to live in fear! Come hell or high water I will not back down! I will live my life!
But you have no life.
Ha. Even that won't stop me.

I will protect even those I hate, so long as it is right.

Woot Jen, that is awesome! Congrats! :icon_dance:

And talk about lucky in getting in to see an endo right away... I'm very happy for you!  I'm so going to be giving you a big hug next time I see you.  I plan on being at group meeting next Thursday if you are going too (you'd better with that news!).

As for cookies, I make no promises. :P  ;D

The pharmacist actually came through early for me. So as of 15 minutes ago, I have joined the Dark Side. And yes I will be at group on Thursday.

OMG, I know right?!  I can't seem to stay away from stuff like that.  I've been making a more concerted effort to lately though, I worked really hard to lose weight 7 years ago and don't want it all back.  Especially now that I'm finally working toward being me!

I've also noticed that, for whatever reason, I'm don't get nearly as hungry as I did before HRT.  I *want* sweet stuff and feel like I should still eat at dinnertime or whatever....  But if I really listen to my body, I'm just not as hungry, I'm trying to do better at adjusting my food intake for just this reason ...  It's odd

Poem by Tupac Shakur

The Rose that Grew from Concrete
Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature's law is wrong it learned to walk with out having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping it's dreams,
it learned to breathe fresh air.

Wow!  That was quick, not just getting to see the endo, but getting the full spectrum of medication.  Took me two months to get an appointment, then two months on spiro, now finally on the estradiol.

Enjoy the next few weeks - the mental relief is unimaginably amazing!

You're so right about the mental relief Brenda. I have had a huge happy smile and radiance for the last 48 hours. I am loving it.   :D :D :D
