Such creativity and imaginative beings in this forest!  Please consider this just another fly by from another fairy girl.  Perhaps I dropped something bright and shinny as I flew by.  Maybe you can find it for me?

That creature from the many paths, the one you never see when you look, but notice every so often from the corner of your eye,
calmly walks to the clearing and looks down at the center of the toxic ring left by something buried that should never have been buried there.
Scooping it up from the burial site with an old rusted can, it takes this thing and carries the toxic waste to the far reaches of the paths.
To the river that divides this place from the cities beyond, at the place where the bridge had been burned down by a foolish snake from across that river.
The creature flings the can, the dirt inside with it's toxic waste falls over onto the bank across this divide,
the place it wandered from, the place where the snake has been know to slither and hiss it's evil with a forked tongue.
The creature screams thoughts out loud, but there is no one there to hear,
"Back to the place you came from, may the snake who speaks with the forked tongue find you."
They are after all, sisters of the kind who cannot see the truths, cannot see past the little river that divides that place from the forest.
The creature walks away, not back into the burnt remains from the fire that destroyed what was here, but walks in a direction that few have returned from.
"Maybe now the ghost of that toxic thing that was buried will go back to where it had come from, the place of the snake."
The creature moves towards the parts unknown, it knows it is the only way, to truly know what is there,
to see it's beauty and the truths that are there, is to make your own path, to go there and see.
The creature disappears over the horizon without anyone seeing it was gone.
Perhaps one or two thought they saw something from the corner of their eye.
But the light now starting to shine a little brighter, may have played tricks on them as well.
It is the beginning of yet another sojourn, a journey, perhaps the last one.
This creature knows it is never the ending, but always the beginning, it is never about the destination, it is always about the journey.
Small trees start to grow along the sides of this new path, it will become a part of the forest, here where it has already started to regrow.
Someday another creature may wander this very same path, and wonder at what it thought it may have seen, out of the corner of it's eye.

Oh please don't go, she cried, I feel we have so much to share on this path thru the forest.  You see what i miss and hear what i cannot.  Take my hand and let us face this snake together.  You seem so prepared and ready for danger but we need help to find our way.  I want to be part of this forested paradise and live with our friends among the trees.

He ran into the safety of the forest, his large pack feather light on his back. He was going to be free soon.

This form was beginning to become tiresome, heavy and hard to bear.

As he ran into a glade, he dropped his backpack and began the transformation from dirty street kid into a Satyr. His face did not change much save for a lengthening and filling out of his jaw, along with the growth of his horns, but his septum ring and tattoos stayed the same. His top half was covered in thick red hair, obscuring his chest completely. His arms were still covered in tattoos and now a bit more hair on those as well. He was genderless, or perhaps he was both, it was difficult to say, and impossible to determine just by looking.

His goat's legs were the main difference, strong, powerful legs that could run much, much faster if he really needed to. He stashed his clothing in his pack for later, when he turned back, when he had to go back into the world of humans again. For now, he hid his pack, bringing along his bottle of liquor and his bag of psychedelic plants.

He was giddy to get back to the forest, away from all the pressures of that other world. He climbed a towering redwood tree and had a smoke, watching the creatures of the forest, thinking of which stories from his travels he might tell them.

The girls stood on the deck of the newly constructed tree house. Kathy pointed down at the goat creature. "Hey. Watch this!" Kathy exclaimed. Kathy giggled as she pitched acorns at the goat creature. Laura giggled and nudged Kathy in the ribs. "That isn't cool, Kathy." Kathy laughed. "I'm just screwing around. It's not like I'm throwing rocks at them." Kathy threw a final acorn, watching it bounce off their head. The girls ran back inside the tree house before they could be seen.

The dormouse, having been sitting on the roof of the tree house, climbs down to the top of the doorway and throws red painted acorns at Kathy. She then scurries away and goes looking for the Satyr..

Kathy looked around as acorns bounced off her head. "What the hell was that?!" Portia giggled as she glanced up at the ceiling. "I don't see anything."

The fairy quietly flew into her treehouse.  She grabbed a small suitcase, packed up her silks, her candles and her incense, and stepped out onto her diamond tightrope leading to the wilderness of the cis.

And vanished into thin air.

On he'r bed, was a large, heart shaped diamond, right next to a tear soaked pillow.

H'er heart remains in this forest.

A single candle lights h'er window.  The flame of hope, the fire of trans.

Morpheus: This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the red pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the little blue pills - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes

Sh'e took the little blue ones.

The genderless fairy child watches from the cradling arch of the crescent moon, ther wings flutter and gracefully step onto the porch of the now silent treehouse with a single lit candle sitting in the window, standing guard until the Fairy returns to rejoin what is rightfully h'ers...

"We will be waiting, my dear friend... Until then, please do not fret, we shall protect your heart with many facets to the very core of our beings..." Their eyes and wings glowed, sparkles of the night sky reflecting off the fairy child's skin, glowing many colors and drawing energy from the magical lake underneath the ground of the Unicorn Forest...

The pooh is getting hungry.

"oh crap" they said. "I'm sure sh'e won't mind".

They reached out and grabbed the golden rope, and began to climb to the fairy's treehouse.

In another part of the forest, something shiny was suddenly found floating into the air.

"Come to the fairy treehouse" whispered the wind, "Follow the shiny jewel".

Morpheus: This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the red pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the little blue pills - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes

The genderless fairy child shifted and fluttered their wings, still glowing as their feet levitated off the porch of the treehouse, the endless energy stirring within their body, soaring their senses to the high levels. Oh, the woes and perks of being empath...!

The child began to dance, flicking their wings as they did so, they danced around the treehouse until a wavy beam of light followed behind them. It was beautiful and sparkled like the universe with its diversity for all to see. The child kept dancing, spiraling upwards until the treehouse was protected in a film of illuminating light.

"Follow the light, it will lead you out of the darkness...!" The fairy echoed through the forest, travelling alongside the wind's whispers, "The light within you, within all of us... shall set us free...!"

I'm a water fairy! Like Cirno, from Touhou Project, but with water, instead.

But I relate to Lip from Panel de Pon. She's a Flower Fairy.
Look up in the sky, it makes you feel so high!

Through a gap in the trees in a darkened, secluded part of this Forest, a glimpse of the sun shines through. Looking up, four eyes briefly see a giant bird flying through it. It is already far away, and the view is fading fast.

Tears begin to flow in old, long-pained eyes as the witch can only whisper in horror, "No."

Her eyes linger on the sky, for a short time. "Goodbye, old friend," she chokes through tears as she turns her gaze to her companion. Large feline eyes are already studying her intently. No words are spoken, though much is said between them. Finally, she simply nods.

She climbs on to the tiger's back quickly, and still comfortably, though it has been a long time. The tiger roars as he suddenly sprints off into the trees, with a tired old woman clinging to his back. He leaps, and they break through the trees, flying off into the sky without wings, as the albatross once taught them to do.

They do not catch up. The red sky is clear and the giant bird is nowhere to be seen, as the sun sets into the west.

With tears still flowing, at last the old witch begins to smile. She rubs the side of her tiger gently, and simply whispers to him, "Let's go Outside". He roars once more, a sound as fierce as every sinew of his powerful body can produce. He takes off immediately, soaring through the skies everywhere they have ever flown together.

Shanpoo reached the top of the rope and looked into the glowing treehouse of the Fairy.  They were startled.  In the middle of the night, during the darkness, something had taken place.

In the center of the treehouse a large table had been prepared, big enough for all of the fair creatures of the forest.  The matts were set, the food prepared, candles were burning.  But where was the fairy?

Stepping to the edge of the diamond tightrope to the Cis, they noticed that it was firey with burning light.  "So this is where sh'e went" said the bear.  "Oh bother and oh crap."

Being a bear of great courage, little words, and direct action, the bear stepped out onto the tightrope.  Step by step, quite scared but resolute, they went after the fairy.  Two steps out onto the tightrope, the bear too disappeared into the thin air.

And there sh'e was.   Sitting on the tightrope, invisible, watching the forest.  In between the two worlds.

The Shanbear was startled.  The fairy, between two worlds, was presenting in her true core.  Hair down, beautiful yet bearded, a fascinating blend of gender that defies logic, rare, but remaining stunning from the light that burns within h'er, it is the light of authentic truth, and the spirit of sacrifice for h'er mate.

"What the heck are you doing here?" Said the Shanbear.

"I had to go." said the Fairy.  "My feelings were hurt, I felt unprotected, the forest was undefended.  But then I thought, where will I go?  Who else is like us, the unique ones of an endangered group, a splinter of the world of trans?"

"So I sat and I watched.  I have been gravely ill from the tree of hormones, my mind filled with the emotions of sudden transition, my thoughts governed by the volatility of female emotion with no experience of how to handle them.  It was not safe for me to be in my treehouse, I could have ruined it all with a single word, and lost my world of trans."

"I saw the shadow leave, and then vanish, into the unseen world.  So I too tried to follow the path. But we could not."

"Look far away, you will see the shadow paused, watching, not yet gone, also invisible to this world."

"But my dear Shanpooh, you have shown courage, and strength, and found my hiding place, this place between two worlds."

"Come", said Shanpooh.  "The protection has returned to the forest, there is promise of hope, it is time for you to come home".

"But the fear", said the Fairy. "If I open my mouth, hearts are broken, feelings hurt.  How can I return?"

The great bear said:

"You are trans.  You are us.  You belong to the forest sweetie, you do not belong alone."

"You will never, ever be alone again."

"Come, let us return to the treehouse."

One step back, and they reentered in the forest world on the tightrope, in the Fairy's core presentation, youthful femininity restored, yet with an added twist.

Stepping back, h'er wings spread to steady h'er very dear Pooh, they returned to the treehouse, now filled with light.

"Who set the table?" asked the stunned family.

"It was the spirit and heart of the forest that did this." said the pooh.

It is the unquenchable fire of the passion of trans.

Sh'e set down h'er candles and incense, lit them all, put up her silks.  Her diamond core vanished from the bed and returned to h'er passionate heart, and she smiled at h'er image in the mirror.

"Come dear one, let us celebrate, a feast for the creatures of the Forest, let us rejoice in our uniqueness, and be free."

Giggles on the wind.  The genderless fairy, the one who changes and is the same, was happy.

Come to the treehouse and dine on the joy of trans, my dears, come feast with me on happiness.

Love to all here, nobody leave, stay and overcome.  --- Satinjoy

Realising the fairy has returned, Kel the dormouse scurries around the forest passing on the news. She then returned to the clearing under the tree house and tidies up her acorn message to the fairy..

'We love you!

Looking out the window, the fairy saw the great cat and older woman heading out of the forest.  With h'er eyes on the unseen world, sh'e also saw the shadow depart completely, now silent, the great sage of the forest has been lost.

With so many tears, sh'e thought no more could come.  But they are.  They just keep coming.

Sh'e turned h'er attention to the dormouse, who makes such a difference with their acorns.

The little things that help.

Perfectly timed.

Sh'e lights a single candle again in the window.

The genderless fairy smiles and floats nearby the treehouse window, giving a tap on the glass. They gave the Fairy a kiss on the cheek and wiped h'er tears away, saying nothing as words weren't needed.

Their open hearts and souls speak to one another, just as every creature in the Unicorn Forest can speak to one another without words. It is a gift, a wonderful gift of freedom and authenticity within us all.

The fairy lifted her head up from the table of trans.  What a night.   They had dined on the meat of trans, the fruit of it, the wine, the bitter herbs, the sweet sugars, all that goes with the tables of trans.   Sh'e thought sh'e would have a picnic some day, where all brought their favorite dish that has the taste of their trans experience, but sh'e was worried nobody would come.  The fairy has thrown parties before in the cisworld and had no one come, the scar of decades ago still has not healed.

Ugggg a hangover from the mushrooms again.  That squirrel is too much.  And those acorns were delicious, soft and tempting and just perfect, they had a special taste to them, it is the taste of innocence and love.

In the corner next to the fire, she heard a muffled sound, and looking over, there they were.  One big gerbil pile of creatures of the forest.  Too funny.  Every imaginable walk of gendered life, some fierce, some fragile, in one little warm fuzzy pile, even the dragons looked happy.  Feasting on the joy of trans, it'll do that if you let it.

Quetly, the Fairy moved to the door of the treehouse, looking out into the forest.

It was time to take a look around, there was something the shadow had told h'er before they left and sh'e wanted to find it.

Sh'e quietly opened her massive, ethereal wings guilded with gold and the rainbow colors of gender, and stepped into the air to soar again to the sky.

The fairy looked out into the forest and saw what sh'e thought sh'e would see.  Burnt edges, the stone monuments of the mods edging the forest ever watching, some trying to speak, others worried, others keeping the peace if they could.  All around them were the burnt remnants of the edge of the forest, but there was new growth, flowers growing, the smell of smoke dimly present, but the fresh breeze of new beginnings still there.

Sh'e looked over the edge of the river and saw the bridge that had been attempted by the creatures of the forest to the city, now abandoned, its foundations remaining for another day, another era, one where all could meet in the center of the bridge and celebrate their realities.  But the time has not come, old hurts had burned the bridge, deliberate attempts successful at disrupting the plans of the good of all trans, and some innocent ones falling headlong into the river.

Sh'e shook h'er head.   It was too sad.   History had repeated itself.  Some day, there is another place sh'e would walk, a place filled with the books of the writings of this place, a testimony of those who came, changed, found themselves, and either stayed or moved on.  The forest's history has been both light and darkness, pain and joy, just like all of our journeys.

She looked at the stone statues, noting one missing, one new, sh'e stopped and prayed that they hold the peace, protect the forest as they have been charged to do, keep the ways of the world of trans where all are respected and none are harmed, as we battle for lives in this place that might otherwise be destroyed forever.

Sh'e nodded h'er head to the statues, they know h'er well, they have protected h'er before, in no uncertain terms.

Spreading her beautiful wings, sh'e went out to seek the dark and dangerous path the shadow had told h'er of, the one we all must follow in the end, the one that cannot be escaped....
