I'm a beginning guitar player; I started playing about a year ago; who else plays an instrument? Are you in a band?

Hi there! I play guitar, acoustic and electric. Been recording my own music, hope to be in a band sometime in the near future.

I come from a very musical family, my mom is a retired music teacher. She had me into everything possible under the sun, seemed like.

Male soprano age 8
Classical piano age 9
Alto sax age 11
French horn age 12
Jazz choir (singing baritone :P) age 14
Guitar age 19
Mellophone age 19
DJ age 25

Now in a band playing mellophone and I do some DJing :) But piano, sax, and horn are my best instruments

DJing doesn't really count, but I put it in there anyway because it is one of my favorites!

Guitar and Bass here!

I've been playing since I was about 14ish...  :)

I got away from it for awhile but I've been finding my way back to it the last few years.  I used to play out in bands and would love to again!  Someday maybe when time allows

Drummer here, not in a band yet because dang, metal is a hell of a hard genre when it comes to the drums!

Learning for about 6 months, hoping to find myself a band in another year or so though :)

I've been playing bass five years now, and play the piano reasonably. I also have a guitar but I can barely play the thing to save my life, my fingers act like thumbs probably due to the fact that bass strings are so much heavier and spaced apart.

Me too.  Guitar and bass mostly, dabble with keys and drums.  Been in many bands over the years. I also used to work as a luthier.

I love music, but I had only three years of violin lessons. Practically nothing, but one day I want to come back and one of my dreams is to play in an orchestra ... who knows? ^^

Guitar, bass, and drums. Love them, especially drums. Really gotten into drums heavily recently.

I play accoustic guitar, if you look up birdy reene on Tindecks website you can listen to several recordings of cover songs I have done.

I've been playing guitar for about a year too and plan to take up a course in music next year. Never been in a band though it's something I'm interested in. I used to play the keyboard for a bit and have a drum kit I don't really use.

I don't play any instruments, but I write/compose and sing, if that counts.

I have been playing guitar for some where around 4 to 6 years, don't know the actual amount of time. But I started on nylon for about a year, when I was teaching myself off of YouTube, then moved to electric for about 1-2 years of lessons, and have been playing mostly acoustic since then. I sometimes take an electric out to play some punk music..

I also have been playing the violin for about 1 year, but due to not finding enough time to practice, I am only decent at it.

On my own I have learned the ocarina, for about 2 years now, and the harmonica which I really suck at so I barely play it.. but I have had it for 6 months.

I am finally getting into electronic music as well now, which is pretty fun, though confusing.. but I love it still.

I have tried being in bands before, but they didn't really work out.. But I have been asked to play in a local band, but once again I don't have enough time to commit to a band at the moment..

Don't know if it counts as music stuff, but I also do have a home studio type of thing now.. even though I rarely set up my equipment anymore since it is easier to use my iPhone to record those smaller tracks..

Bass guitar is my main instrument, and I also play drums, piano, and guitar reasonably well.  I spent most of my 20's playing bass professionally, and I also spent quite a few years working as a record producer and recording engineer.  Those were some great years...very inconsistent income though.

I still do a project or two a year.  It's more fun now that I don't have to take on projects just for the money.

I've always thought that chick bass players were awesome.  I'm now going to be one. YAY!!  :)

I've been playing for about 14 years (guitar)

mostly blues/rock, think Stevie ray vaughan, Joe bonamassa, Rory gallager.

the #1 is a strat, 15 in the collection down from 50, had a massive sell off, still trying to get rid of a few in storage. recently picked up a '54 reissue strat that's quickly becoming the #2

I've got a bass, a trumpet, harmonica, drum kit, and a few other things floating around, all of those I just have to faff around on though.

If anyone would like to collaborate with me, pm me! I'm working on my own album but would love to get something started with everyone here on susans! We could form an internet jam band or something, who knows! There's plenty of us here to get an awesome band going, even if it's across the country or the world!!

I just think this would be a great opportunity for all of us to get to know one another and strengthen our community a bit more.

Classical piano, sort of branching out into jazz.

I also was a very good boy soprano - now my voice gives me nothing but dysphoric triggers.  :/

I play guitar, bass, flute, piano and assorted percussion. Been performing off and on professionally most of my life, though the productions end of the business is my bread and butter.
