ok so three people have recently asked me about colon vaginoplasty. they have talked to (well two of them have. the other person has yet to contact surgeons) at least 6 surgeons about the advancements in the past 5 years with this surgery. they are asking my personal opinion on it stating that now they can get it done in part through laparoscopic surgery, they also state the new method only has the smell issue for the first 2-5 months and they are excited about the always being wet down south idea. (i dont know why they are so excited about that). whats everyone's opinion in this group regarding this? i could use some input on what to tell these teens.

Have not idea on colon vaginoplasty.

I had the 1 step that Dr. Brassard, Mc Ginn, Bowers and so many others do.

Less then 2 hrs in the stirrups for me and wet down there all the time.

So each there own for what they want or feel they want.

I have yet to have SRS, but in 2011, I had 2 feet of sigmoid colon removed and an end-to-end anastomosis performed laparoscopically due to severe diverticulitis.  This is part of the deal with a colon vaginoplasty.

The week I spent in the hospital from that surgery was BRUTAL, and I would not wish that recovery upon my worst enemy.   I'm sort of glad that this type of surgery is not even an option for me now.  I just have to REALLY hope they get my SRS right the first time.

Living with a semicolon isn't all that wonderful either.  It's "sort of" back to normal now, but I had to literally run to the bathroom occasionally for many months, as things were very unpredictable.

You have been warned!

And now....the Good News.

Yes, I had that procedure as a revisionary 'up-grade' in the mid-eighties.  I am more than satisfied with the results in that it allows me to engage in normal sexual intercourse without any 'special' preparations  such as lube or whatever.

Yes it is 'wet' all the time, and feels exactly like the inside of your mouth since that is exactly the same type of tissue.  Another positive result is that dilation is no longer necessary and I have no more issues with depth or girth. ;D

PS  The only negative side effects that I have noted as a result of the relocation and re-purposing of approx. 8" of my sigmoid colon was/is a tendency to constipation which is easily remedied by drinking lots of water and watching what I eat.  Healthy practices in any case.

I just wanted to say thank you for the information everyone. I talked to the three girls with what everyone said and two said they would think about the colon option a little more before deciding on it and the other says she thinks it's the better option all the way around. This way she won't ever have to worry about lube. Also told me she only has 5.5 inches to work with and wants more depth than that so idk?

Penis length is not directly relatable to depth..
