With some of the drama that has been flying around since last night I thought I would post some observations, I sincerely hope I'm not offending anyone, that is the exact opposite of my goal.
First of all I'd like to make an observation, many of us are taking hormones, we are in a way going through our puberty again, remember what puberty was like, how emotional you were, how you interacted with others and how strong those emotions were. Well you might be better prepared this time around but others around you are not, they will not give you the leeway that a teenager gets when it comes to expressing emotions.
Secondly many of us did not get the benefit of being raised as ladies, sometimes the words and expressions that come most naturally sound odd and not very ladylike, this is normal but rather than being confrontational and hurting each other why not be constructive and try to assist each other in suggesting better forms or etiquette.
Thirdly the carrot beats the stick every time, motivate people to do better rather than aggravating them into an escalation, we are a volunteer community and communities are fragile. For every one bad thing we experience it takes at least 5 good things to balance it out in our brain.
Finally every community will on occasion attract a bad apple, they come in all sized and shapes and most often they don't mean to do harm but they inadvertently cause strife and conflicts, it's our job to figure out if we can help them become a positive member or if we are forced to take a stand.
p.s. When posting something keep in mind that this is a public forum, anything and everything you write can and will be read by minors, if it's not appropriate for a 12 year old questioning gender identity then it probably does not belong here.
