Cool thing happend at the party store last night

So I told you guys that my dad is the more liberal and accepting one, well we were at the party store and he went to get his one beer and I had got some candy and put it on the desk, And the lady at the register looks a me then at my dad and ask him if I am his son and he said yes. I thought it was a cool moment I was also shocked.

Well I actually pass all the time but because my dad still likes to use my birth name sometimes people don't normally ask. And it happens quite frequently especially with my mom and since I got my hair cut. So I hav never had a problem with passing lol.

That's awesome 🙂 I recently had my dad do the same thing when he was talking to a taxi driver, he said "my son" , it was the first time the word 'son' came out of his mouth in reference to me, it was great. It's such an amazing feeling for sure, and I'm glad to hear your dad is very accepting!

I've heard of people where one parent (or another) does not seem to ever get it. But once in awhile, they see the option to not getting it is losing you for good. But that can take decades. Best not to hold you breath. Sounds like your dad realizes you are just his son and not dead. Also happy you seem to have come to terms with that.
