Do some women like/prefer trans men?

So I've been wondering whether anyone has known or heard of women who are open to or prefer trans men?

Cis vs. trans would not be important to me.  If I like you, I just like you.  I wouldn't rule anyone out unless they proved to be unworthy.

Through the realms of the interwebs only. I don't have any first hand experience but I have herd of some woman who talk about preferring trans or ftm men because of the fact that they were "once woman" and therefore are better boyfriends because of it. There are also a few who view this as very offensive as it "fetishsizes" said men and make said men out to be something "other then real/normal men" . I don't pretend to be an expert on this stuff nor are for/against any of it. Just sharing what I have encountered.

I don't know about the majority, but I'd be fine with dating a trans man. You're men and I like men. I don't see the problem here.

I wish people always saw it like this. Unfortunately this hasn't been my experience. I've done some experimenting with online dating and have noticed I get significantly more messages when I don't have my trans status in my profile. My guess is that people see it and decide to move on to someone less "complicated". I'm pretty far in transition and have been happy with my changes but it really sucks how judgmental people can be. I suppose there are people that probably prefer it, but like it was already mentioned it's probably for questionable reasons.

Well, I can confirm that many CISwomen love transgender fashion models, that's obvious by the members and comments on a fan page for a famous trans model I run.. In fact, as a CISguy I'm out numbered 10-1 by women who adore famous trans personalities..

I think it depends on the woman.
And I bet if you surveyed women in a small rural town VS women in a large metropolitan area (ie city), a lot more city ladies would be very interested in trans men. A lot of women are jaded, and sick of men who are "users" or "just trying to get laid". I would say bigger cities always offer a better spectrum as well....I'm not cis anything so I cant give a first hand opinion

I'm sure there are woman who prefer transmen. women are more open minded when it comes to these things, however, I think most women just want men in general, regardless and they just view us as men. To be honest I would be a little offended if a girl was dating me because I was "Born a girl". I just want her to see me as a man and nothing else.

But I'm totally crushing on an FTM guy right now so what do I know

it shouldn't matter too much though, if your a good person and fun to be around most people won't care.

Yeah, thee are women who actually prefer trans men but I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole. Why would I want someone to be into me on the basis of something I never wanted for myself, and a body part that makes me uncomfortable?

That said, there are women who like men, period, not caring if they are cis or trans. That's my ideal partner.

There are some women out there who like and/or prefer transmen.  I just keep my radar up though.

I knew a gal who liked trans guys simply because "they tend to have more of the character traits that I look for". She was basing this on her own experiences of course, but I don't think she was a ->-bleeped-<-. She had just had better luck with trans guys in dating.

I'm not on the market so to speak so I can't comment beyond her statement

If we must include the trans label, I do prefer trans over cis.  With that said, I've never dated, let alone met a trans man, but the thought of a relationship partnered with a fellow trans is breath taking.

And personally, I would be just as open to dating a trans man as a cis man. The only reason I haven't is that I haven't met one yet.

An advantage of dating a Trans-guy would be knowing I didn't have to explain my own odd background. I'd defintely give a FtM first shot over a CIS guy!

I know of other women who are comfortably in love with their trans man.  If I were dating, trans men would definitely be as cool as any other guy and maybe even have that advantage Northern Jane speaks of.  As Jill says only the "unworthy" are off my potential list.
