Hey all, I've had an account here before but haven't visited in the last 6 months and couldn't find my login. I crept more than posted so just created this one for permanent now..  Anyway

One thing I've noticed on here though is the wide discrepancy in answers and results with some pretty important factors missing with the biggest to me being ages. I think it would be awesome if the forum had a question area split by age but for now I figured I would start this.

Basically just looking for those between 21-30 and what your experience on HRT has been!

I would like to hear the troubles you faced and timelines and preferably what you take. Not amounts I am well aware of the rules here but just what hormone or blocker you used/use, anything extra like progesterone and if it helped or couldn't tell and your timeline. Please note any gaps if you stopped if you post your timeline.

While all experiences help I just found myself frustrated going through answers that became a lot less relevant when an age gap was revealed.

To start, I'm 24 and in good shape and health. Average weight, not fit and toned nor overweight I am about 150 and 5'8" and have been on HRT solidly for the last 6 months. From what I know my prescriptions are now more in the average range (before lower with very little result besides depression) and just started seeing more results. I'm now on progy/spiro and have been talking with my dr about adding progesterone but I've heard mixed results on it.

I'm interested because my breasts have been slow to start (no change in sensation in recent months led to dr and increased dose) and I would like to hear the results in my age and difficulties encountered and how it resolved for you. Please share your age and body type if you don't mind !

I come from a pretty busty family where there is women.. All C-DD and I believe I have a good body for growth so I'm excited to be on the right track now just have a few concerns with progesterone and age. Currently I have 38A chest (so awkward!) but I only say A because my bust is an inch more than my chest... But still far from filling an ACup to me. Biggest annoyance right now is my left nipple won't pop out like my right one and it's been months! With the new increase i now feel tenderness, itchy feeling, and hard buds behind both nipples so I'm hoping things get moving :)

Thanks for your time!

Hi TSLexiknight!

I've kinda felt the same way about lack of categorized hormone results (whether by age or body type) so I'm really looking forward to seeing what this thread has to offer.

I started hormones 3 months ago at age 23.5. I am a small frame, started about 5'8.5" and 125lbs. I eat very healthy (vegan) and get plenty of sleep, but I don't exercise.

I am taking Spiro and Oral Estradiol (bioidentical). My doctor wants to talk about adding Progesterone at the 6 month mark.

So now for hormone results:

Before the end of day 1 I already felt the antidepressive and antianxiety effects kick in which was amazing!

The first physical change I noticed was my body smelled different around the 2-3 week mark.

After that I slowly began to notice fat collect around hips and bottom. Also my face became softer.

My breast began to bud around 5 weeks but are progressing very slowly compared to what I've read of others in my age group. At 3 months I think I am not even at an AA. (I think its because I am so skinny with so little fat)

At the two month mark my hip bones began to widen slightly. I felt the discomfort, but my sister was actually the one who pointed it out.

Last week my vision finally improved so much my glasses make it worse now. (But I have two eye conditions that are getting effected by the hormones so not a typical reaction I think)

At the 3 month mark now, I have gained a whopping 2 lbs... But I am now about an inch shorter. I lost an inch around both the neck and shoulders. My face is now feminine enough that I think I will go full time as soon as I get a proper haircut (it started at brastrap length and is now longer) the hormones seem to make my hair grow faster!

I think that's all. Is there anything I forgot to mention?

-Molly

Edit: forgot to put in that spontanoues erections went away after about one month. Can still get them on demand though.

Thanks Molly! Exactly the type of reply I am looking for. It's just so difficult to compare results with such big gaps! I am jealous how easy it sounds like you could go full time with the face. I hate my shoulders and I have a masculine jaw and nose :(

I never thought about the hips or smells. It sounds like you are having good results though! Lacking enough fat maybe to grow bigger? lol. I know I have it around my body haha. I'm just really focused on getting a flatter stomach, I'm in good shape but that's where I have extra. So 3 months more until you try progesterone? I'm very curious, waiting for my next appointment feels like starting HRT again

Hi!

I was 23 when I started, weighed 145 lbs. and was 5' 7" I'm generally fairly small framed if a little stocky built due to my welsh heritage. Before HRT I ate pretty good (balanced diet, no soda, very little junk, mostly home cooked meals with little red meat and lots of olive oil, fish and chicken), but I slept crappy, but I also did some pretty regular if light exercise.

I'm currently at the 7 month mark. The first thing I noticed was the immediate mental change. Like by the end of the first week I was noticeably calmer, better rested, and while I was more fatigued from the HRT, I also felt more alive. The wider emotional range came not long after, lots of crying, lots of moodiness, sometimes crying over being happy. The next thing that I noticed was the drop in my sex drive. Pre-HRT I felt the need to uh... take care of things... probably 1-2 times a day, leaning towards two, and generally felt horny pretty often... or at least was thinking of sex very often. After starting HRT that dropped down to about 1 time a day for the first three months, and recently it's dropped even further to about once every 4 days.

I start getting breast pain/development at the 3 month mark, they've been sensitive and growing consistently ever since, although at a pretty slow rate as I have yet to fill in an a-cup yet.

Over all I've had consistent changes to just about everything. My skin has become much softer, I'm almost as soft as my girlfriend. I've also lost around 2 inches from my height and my shoulders have become significantly less wide as my arms and the muscle around there has feminized, although how much I can't say. Likewise my face has lost some eight from it giving it a much more angular tone. I've also experienced some pretty significant regrowth in hair along my hair line. Before HRT I was starting to bald with a rapidly receding hairline, that has since begun to fill back in and I feel like in a couple years even I might actually have a convincingly female hairline.

At around the 4 month mark I noticed that my eyes went from their normal weird murky blue-green-brown splotchy mess, to almost entirely pale blue. My eye sight has also changed although not measurably. Likewise I used to have a condition with a slight lazy eye, which has fixed itself a little... (i notice double vision a lot less now. Around the 5 month mark, the estrogen effectively nuked a lot of my body hair. Chest hair is mostly gone save for a few stupid highly blonde hairs, and my arms are gradually losing the hair on them as well. Leg hair doesn't seem to be much better, but shaving my legs takes probably a 1/4 as long as it did pre-HRT. The shape of my eyes has changed a little too, they look more female, have slightly longer lashes, and the shape is a bit more 'almond'. Just recently at the 7 month mark I've noticed my eyebrows have gone from stupid blonde weird things to much thinner, darker and more feminine. I also gained light freckles all across my face, and on my shoulders.

Around the 5 month mark I lost my ability to hold an erection for a short time, but it has come back since, although getting it up is a bit more difficult. Also as of the 4 month mark most of my orgasms have been female. I still have a male one occasionally, but very rarely now. I think my hip bones in general have gotten a bit wider and just my leg shape is much more feminine now.

As of the last time I weighed myself, I came in at 128 lbs.

30 years old. 5'11" 170 lbs and I'm close to filling out an A cup but still I'm not anywhere near where I'd want to be. All I really want is to get up to a proportionate C cup and I'll be tickled pink if that does happen in the end to be honest. I started out for the first 3 months on a half dose of what I'm taking right now.

I'm doing amazingly well on the everything else department as far as hormones go. My skin is so much softer and glows, my facial features have changed, fat is going to the right places now, my emotions are getting stronger and stronger, I lost the ability to get morning wood after 1 week and I was sterile after 3 weeks to 1 month, I don't think I've gotten any shorter but I feel that way now, I feel so week physically but in a good way as in I'm losing muscle strength and mass, my shoe size has shrunk and my hands too, body hair regrowth has slowed considerably and lightened up or disappeared from some areas, one of the greater things has been having orgasms that are hundreds of times more intense than when I was pre-HRT and very close if not identical to that of a cis-woman's orgasm but the best thing of all is that I'm actually HAPPY now :D

I need to get back to eating better though. Because of family stress and depression that has happened lately and caused me to emotional eat. A LOT!!!!! Still I can't complain about where I'm at after transitioning for the past 8 1/2 months. I have lived full time for the last month and everything outside of my family life is going amazingly well :)

I started using Spiro and Injectable Estrogen, Had slight development after a mont then I stopped developing had another tiny growth spurt at 6 months when I tried Progesterone. And nothing since really I'm a small A Cup, It's annoying but on the plus side I'm quite skinny so it doesn't look massively out of place. I would ideally like to be a B-cup, I don't think I will go through the hassle of BA tho.

I stopped progesterone because I wasn't getting much in the way of breast gains yet I got odd side effects like bad gingivitis and Acne.

I thought I would be bigger because like you I looked at most of the females of my family. Most of who had largish breasts D-cup range, although most of my family is overweight I still thought it would translate better. It was only last year when I Met my Paternal Grandmother who I'd not seen in over 20years on account of my father begin an ->-bleeped-<-.

My grandmother is Chinese 5ft tall skinny as a rail and COMPLETELY flat chested. Looking through her old photobook this clearly remains the case even in her youth.

It explained a few things... ¬.¬ Least I know it wasn't anything I did.
So yeah be mindful of that you can still get dealt genetic wildcards.

I started at just barely 32, so I'm a tick outside the range you asked for, but still less than a decade older than you. I don't want to hijack with a long story in case my data isn't useful for you, but I definitely had good results - very very low dose estrogen only, and I still started to have breast buds and soreness on day 5 and was a 42C at four months in. By six months, I couldn't backpass as male. Fat redistribution, though, was much slower...

I might be 48 now, but I was 23 when I started the first time in 1989. I was (ultimately) prescribed two oestrogen's and two anti-androgens (as I remember). Unfortunately I only remember two of those, Androcur and injections of Primogen Depo. I'd say that I started well, budding and extreme breast sensitivity from quite early but then nothing much for the next two years, I finished with AA if I was lucky. I put on over two stones of weight, mostly around the belly and face and mostly it was fluid retention. My hair grew nice and thick (for a change) almost reversing completely the early stages of MPB I was already experiencing pre HRT. I sweated at the slightest exertion, it was very embarrassing. My cheeks glowed red, and not from rouge! I was an emotional mess, cried at the drop of a hat and my brain simply wouldn't shut up. I looked quite androgynous by the end of two years, age 25, a lot of people really couldn't tell if I was male or female. That was when I bailed though. Where I might have ended up I can't say.

Thanks all for your replies! I enjoy reading the different results and circumstances it really helps get a grip on where you should be.

Had a few changes this last week and saw my dr. Increased my E a little and got a prescription for progesterone I'm starting Monday. Just the increase in E and my buds seem way more sensitive!

What makes your breast tender? I've noticed a few different sensations lately. Nipples are so sensitive it almost hurts to brush them while as a whole they just feel tender (more underneath - the growing bud)

So I'm excited what the next few weeks will bring. I'll update soon and say if I notice a difference adding progesterone.
