So I've officially reached the 1 week mark today on HRT! No drastic physical changes just yet (although I have noticed a few changes that may or may not just be my imagination), but more than anything I feel a sense of calming relief. Perhaps that's a chemical effect of the hormones, perhaps it's just the fact that I can finally stop worrying, but either way, I'm happy :)

Wish me luck on the rest of my HRT experience!

Wow congrats! I'm hoping to be there soon but truth be told it will be my second time around, with official support this time instead of going it alone. The first week last time I was on HRT changes happened more or less immediately, body odor changed completely (more or less disappeared, with one night of sweating it out, kind of a musky scent, I affectionately refer to that as the exorcism lol. I could sweat up during my daily 45 mins of aerobic exercise and I wouldn't smell at all) and my skin started to become really soft and supple. Mentally my dysphoria pretty much disappeared. And this was on a pretty low dose too and no T blockers either. I'm curious as to what will happen when I get back on the HRT train and go all the way.

Thanks!!

Those are the kinds of things I've been noticing ^^ Specifically my skin feels like it's softening and my breasts feel like they're starting to grow. But it's subtle and not entirely noticeable all the time, so I'm still not sure if it's real or just in my mind. I sure hope it's real though. I'll be really happy to know that they're working so fast!

Good luck to you!

Ahhh! Congrats, hun!

I started Antiandrogens last week and wish I could say I've noticed something, but so far, I just feel a little calmer. I can't wait to get the call that says I can come in and start the estrogen officially - just waiting on a final blood clot test!

Keep us/me up to date on how you're feeling, since I'll be there shortly (maybe) hehe.

It can be nice to keep a picture diary of changes so you can see how far you've come - especially on days you feel low, flick through them from the start and you can see the change. One week is nothing though, I'm over 4 years and still noticing changes

Good luck on your journey! I remember when I started, it was the best feeling ever. TAKE TONS OF PICTURES! Seriously, it will help you re-affirm your changes in the future. One thing that I regret that I didn't do was take pictures of my body without any clothes on when I started, front and back for my own personal use so that I could see the changes that my body has gone through. I have tons of pictures of my face but none of my body pre-transition. Now I'm left with thoughts of "I know my body looks more feminine but how much so from when I started? I'll never know..."
