Hey guys.
I just hit my 2 months + 1 week recently. I'm at the point where I am thinking I ought to see some tiny changes. I'm not talking major voice drops, facial hair, huge muscles, total fat redistribution etc...it's too early for that. Now I know that I can't discuss actual doseage, but from what I've read I do believe that my dose (bi-weekly injections of cypionate) is lower than most, also I just had my levels of free testosterone checked and they are at 12.3 which is in te normal range, so I'm assuming that this is the dose I will be on forever, I'm assuming that because if that dose puts me in the male range, then moving the dose up would be detrimental and dangerous. The thing is, is that at this point I have noticed no changes whatsoever. No small voice change (I have recorded my voice pre t and as of yesterday), no acne, no sex drive, no appetite or energy increase, no change in body odor, no emotional changes no growth or sensitivity changes "down there".....sometimes I actually forget that I'm taking testosterone. I'm supposed to see my endocrinologist in November but that's still a ways off so I thought I'd ask for some opinions and thoughts.

I wouldn't worry about it, any changes so early on would be difficult to spot. I didn't notice any change for about 5 months then suddenly realised there was hair just about everywhere. Everyone experiences it differently so don't put a time limit on the changes you're expecting, it'll happen :) Like Chipper said, if in a few months you still haven't noticed anything and it bothers you then ask your doctor. Congrats on having started and all the best ;)

Thanks guys. I don't know any trans people personally so all I have is what I can read online. Riding it out is what I plan to do. Is it even possible that someone could be non-responsive to HRT? Or is that generally unheard of or impossible? I'm pretty sure any conditions that could cause that would've been ruled out in bloodwork. I'd imagine this would be more of a dosing issue. I can't really find any info on this sort of thing.

the only change i got right off the bat was a change in sensitivity "down there." i didn't notice any "big" changes until about 3 months on a low dose and even then it was just my voice dropping a bit/random and darker hair on my face. don't worry too much about it because everyones body has changes at different times. however if you are concerned, just talk to your doctor about it.

I didn't notice anything until after 3 months.  I was pretty worried, too, that I had some kind of "T insensitivity".  It's pretty normal to see no changes until at least 3 months - usually more like 5.

A couple months is not very long and I agree with people who say you should give it time, but I feel like your treatment should be more connected to your physical changes than your hormone levels. If you can be patient it will be easier to talk to your doctor about stuff. He or she might be figuring it out themselves and might be uneasy about altering your prescription too soon.

Everybody is different with how their body does with hormones. I had powerful effects very quickly, but they plateaued within six months or a year. With any health stuff I try to talk to the provider about what my goals are and ask questions about what I can reasonably expect, but I'm trying to wait until whatever timeframe "normal" puberty took to make my male relatives what they are before I worry about how I'm progressing. I'm also trying not to want any physical traits I've never seen in close relatives. I think if you go more than 6 months without at least your voice dropping you should ask your doctor about it though.

Agreed with those who said about 3 months was when the changes started coming. I hit my first decent voice drop around then at least. Around 6 months was when the changes were really coming on strong. From what I remember at least, anymore I just feel like I've been this way forever.

Cool guys, thanks for the reassurances. I'm starting to think that when I hear about guys reporting a ton of changes with in the 1 or 2 month range is it possible that thy are having some placebo effect type thing happening? I've heard some pretty outrageous stuff....
