Today my roommate and I went to a nearby mall. We didn't spend much but the real purpose was to see if I could pass in an environment outside the LGBT community. I was really worried as I got out of the car and walked across the parking lot. I had on a short sleeve top with a floral print on the front, a denim skirt and canvas shoes. I was expecting a lot of laughs. Instead what I got was not much notice. People just kept on walking and going about their business without giving me a second look.

I looked through clothing stores and book stores and bought a soda and pretzel but no one paid me any attention. No one laughed or pointed or made any comments. I even used the women's room without any problem. I'm so happy!!!!   ;D

It only gets easier the next time Christy. Congrats!

Ms Grace

Well that is great! Congrats. It should hopefully get easier very quickly. Try mixing it up with new activities in various places.

Paula: I don't currently make the most attractive female out there that's for sure. What I found though is it's about your "energy." If you act female, and dress female people see you as female. You give off the right vibe. In short though I may not have been very attractive I was dressed as a female and wearing makeup. I was doing female things like looking for women's clothes so in peoples heads I must be female.

Most people are off in their own world anyway. They have their smartphones and their own issues as well as their own lives. They aren't really paying attention to the people around them all that much. Unless someone gives them a reason to look them over they usually don't. While dressed as a man I have used this many times to walk into a room full of people and not get noticed. I like my privacy. :) From what I experienced yesterday passing is less about what you look like and more about how you carry yourself. I know you can pass too. Especially if I did.

I know.. I know.. everyone is their worst critic.. my mannerisms... or should I call them womannerisms??

I'm good with the way I act, or really behave, because being a guy was the acting.. my behavior is much more fem than not.  I'm confident in how I behave.. just, have not started any makeup, due to the family.
But, I'm moving Sunday, and will start soon!!

We now return you to your thread, already in progress.  ;)

I'm very happy for you honey ;D

I think that the way you behavior do a lot to how the others see you, for example, I know many girls that have many boy's characteristics that I consider girls because of the behavior and confidence (Who knows if one of then is actually a mtf girl? :D )

Since I stopped to pay attention to behave like a boy would do, I take me acting very girly occasionally, even my friends commented about that (One of then said one time: "Okay, now you can start to menstruating", I did like the comment  ::) )
Just one step at time :D
