Hey Everyone!
New here, but my hubby (lostmyjetpack) posted a bit ago...lol
I came out as Genderqueer about 4 years ago, but only to my husband.  He wasn't sure how to respond at the time so it went unmentioned for a year.  As I became more comfortable with it, I started exploring the possibilities and reasons of my feelings of self and what it could mean.  This year I came out as Transgender.  I present male exclusively and am gynophobic (imagine how puberty was...)  So I now identify as a gay trans guy.  My husband was worried at first because he didn't want to lose me to someone else.  I assured him that this wouldn't happen.  He's been tremendously supportive through all of this.  He got me my first real binder and takes me shopping for appropriate clothing.  I'd always dressed androgynous to masculine anyways but now it means so much more.
I now am to the point of having three appointments until my t letter!  Dr. consultation, red flag therapist meeting that he must attend and then my big evaluation and letter!  I'm very excited, a bit nervous...
I am not and cannot be stealth.  I have to come out to several hundred people.  I am transitioning on the job.  I am lucky to work for the company I do as they include gender expression in the eo.  They have no tolerance policies in place and I work with an HR specialist quite closely.  They are also starting to offer more for trans people in the medical insurances.
I have two kids who are amazing (and took a huge effort to have).  They're young and very accepting.  I've talked to the school board and the acting principal at their school.  I've come out to several friends who mostly are more worried about my relationship to my hubby than anything else...so my support group is really good.  We use humor and have fun with the idea, as well as watch youtube vids of those who've been where I am.  And I want to offer support for those heading in that direction.
We live in a very small community and I want to be there for those that need a mentor or just someone to talk to.

Sorry this is long winded...I am documenting what I'm going through on other sites too.

Anyways, I've been perusing the site for some time and there's tons of good info on here.

Welcome T-Wolf to Susan's family,

As long as you have a supportive husband then you have the making for a family that will be together as a family of strength.

That's hard to come by and glad that is there.

Day at a time, one step on the path, love in ones heart, happiness.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome!  My hubby was certainly apprehensive at first...  Now he calls me "his man" and Romeo LOL!  He's my rock.
