I really am glad I had found these forums! With the internet, it isn't so much being alone.  Anyways, I did go to my first appointment last month (September/2014) and about to go to my second session.  She was really nice, understanding, and easy to talk to.  This, really, was what I was expecting anyways.  She has an online website where you log in, fill out forms, etc.... she told me that I went too far because I did her second appointment assignment prior to the first appointment!  So she said I saved myself a session, but I explained to her I already know what I want and she's pretty much the gate keeper in getting me there.  My boyfriend of three years and I decided this is the best route.  He is straight, but knows inside I am female and see's that in me and so supportive and wants to fix this "birth defect" as he calls it.  Anyways, the cost of the appointment was $125 and she will continue being my therapist when I move out of state, as she does video sessions and has clients all over the country anyways.  Just PM me if you are wanting to know her name in case you want to do a facetime appointment with her online (:
