A lot of the information that has been published in academic settings is outdated. Some of it is even offensive to many, especially young people who are growing up with newer data and terminology available to us. However, older articles are still often useful for many readers, if not as a currently accurate resource then at least as historical information. Looking at the past research that has led to our current understanding of trans issues can help us contextualize the current state of things.
What we know today might be seen as offensive and ignorant in five years.
Terminology we use today may have been offensive ten or twenty years ago (e.g. "queer").
So, perhaps some kind of content note is in order, reminding readers of the date and nature of some of these articles - including that they may be offensive. But I wouldn't want the articles removed, especially without having solid replacements ready to go up.
