So I am new to the forum, yet I have been here for years. My story starts out like many but took an amazing twist about 5 years ago. After my 4th attempt to become another statistic, I decided that I needed an outlet and decided to go back to school. Once I enrolled if found the atmosphere to be conducive of growth and change where I meet some amazing teachers, an English teacher who encouraged me to write about my life and a psychology teacher who encouraged individuality. As I grew in our community college I found strength to continue on and become a better woman than I ever could be as a man. Being public in my small town has been difficult, yet I wouldn't trade it for the world. As I complete my last semester for a B.A. in psychology I decided that continuing to a masters would be more of a growing experience. The school I went to visit was amazing and I plan to go through all the steps to apply following a new passion in Counseling.
My wife has been a rock. She has issues with my situation as many S.O. can. But she is still beside me after 14 years and my 3 amazing girls are my world and biggest fans.

I was on low dose hormones for a year and now normal dose for 6 months. The changes are painfully slow some days, but alas I must enjoy the journey.
Hugs,
Alissa
