shaving facial hair

ok so I have some facial hair going on, although its not a lot, I still need to shave it for this new job. When I shave the part under my chin/on my neck, I notice I break out after. I'm thinking this has to do with me using a cheap razor. When I shave my stache its fine. It could be from the T though and me breaking out and the hair hiding it until I shave it. Was wondering if anyone else has this problem and what you did to resolve it. I hate shaving it to have breakouts after.

Always shave using warm water, if your hairs are thick soak them first, wet hot flannel is best, then either under the shower or use a good shaving foam. Cheap razors are fine as long as they are new, expensive razors simply endure repeated use for longer.

EDIT: Shave WITH the direction of the hair first then against, it will irritate your skin less.

I'm not sure how to describe this very well, but I've found that I get bumps from shaving if I'm not very gentle with the razor. Basically, try to just barely touch the razor to your skin when shaving. You'll need to run it over the hair multiple times to get it all out this way, but it will cause a lot less irritation. I use warm water and cheap razors, and I do fine.

I don't know why when I shave I'm always itchy when the hair re-grow, especially under my chin/jaw.
Maybe the skin is still adapting...

Mine always starts to itch, too, if I let it grow for a few days after shaving. So I think it's a normal reaction.

The skin under the chin is thinner and more delicate so susceptible to razor rash, especially when just starting to shave. How often are you shaving at the moment?

I shave every 2 weeks, I don't have that many hair and it's very slow to grow.

Exfoliate before you shave and after with warm water, kind of surprised no one has mentioned this yet.
