So, ever since I've been on T (about six weeks now) I've noticed that sensation in my genital area is...not as great as it used to be. I mean, it's grown and my sex drive is higher, but when I'm actually trying to jack off or have sex, I can't feel it very much.

This just sucks a lot especially since I already had a hard time getting off before this. Does anyone know if this is normal or what I can do to help it?

I've tried orgasm enhancing creams and gels and they don't help as much as I would like.

I'm not on T yet but just remember that your body needs time to adjust to the T and growing at the same time. It's still early so give yourself time.

I don't know if its relevant or not :/
But for us girls feeling change a lot down there with oestrogen.
maybe what you're feeling, or not feeling is not you becoming less sexual? I guess that's the word?
maybe its your feeling changing to come more in line with the male experience of sex and sexuality?

I have no idea though, if its really worrying you, you should see a doctor

I've found that I have some decreased sensitivity as well. My growth is such that my head of my junk is constantly rubbing against my underwear or whatever and made the skin slightly more rough. I feel like that has contributed to the decreased sensitivity. I can still jack off tho. But I actually only do so with a kind of vibe and while watching porn. So my mind has to be in it.

using a vibe is actually the only way i can get off right now and it really sucks because my partner used to be able to get me off and hasn't been able to in a couple weeks now.
it's embarrassing and i hate it.
when we're doing it i usually end up using a vibe while we do other stuff so i can get off too

my sex drive has largely increased since going on T...it's a lot higher than it used to be. so i don't have any trouble getting started...just getting finished lol

and it's not worrying to the point i'd see a doctor, just frustrating and embarrassing. but thanks for the input, it's interesting that hormones can affect sensation with E as well.

Yeah, same thing for me, six months in... sigh.

I talked about it a bit with my therapist a week or two ago -- he says it's pretty normal, and most likely has to do with the growth "down there."

"This is one reason we warn everyone that that their sexuality will change," said he. He's a trans guy himself, so that's another reason I tend to trust what he says about this stuff. He says taking 45 minutes to an hour to get off is pretty normal; not for me, it hasn't been -- I've always done well to last 5 - 10 minutes.

It hardly seems fair that the sex drive skyrockets, and then THIS happens.

I think I remember I had a harder time getting off around my 1 1/2 month mark. I'd be in bed for at least half an hour, extremely sweaty, because it took so long to get off. That's definitely gone away. I can  usually get myself off in 5-15 min now depending on how horny I am.

I actually just started noticing this now too, I think it is from the growth and it rubbing against my boxers and stuff. I can still get off within 10 mins though. My sex drive def increased. I don't want to say that it isn't as sensitive, cause you touch it and its like I'm up and awake lol just takes a bit longer to get off. Yes vibes work a lot faster though lol

I once heard from a guy that he got so much growing pains that he stopped taking T. I think his genitalia got sexually less sensitive too.

Weird. I wonder whether I am the odd man out because I am much more sensitive.

I thought I was the odd one, no change at all.

I think most people get more sensitivity or have no changes, but for some the growing is very fast or somehow causes other changes. You have similar reaction by some people who get strong pain in their tendons, feet etc, which is also growing pain.

I had increased sensitivity.

Same, ever since I started T, I'm much more sensitive in a good way. Have you tried talking to your therapist/gender clinic?

I'm having the exact problem 2 months on T, first month was great but as soon as it grew significantly i seem to have lost the ability to have a satisfying orgasm, i really hope it comes back.

Just wanted to add some stuff I remembered. So I'm 4 months on T now and it's been getting easier. But I noticed around months 2/3 I had to get a little more.. Creative.. to get myself off. With the porn I was watching, with the way I was touching myself. I'm back to how I was doing things before, mostly, but yea that was a pretty crazy 2 months with what I was watching and doing. But I have a high sex drive so it was necessary.

Oddly, my sex drive has seriously decreased in month 2 on T :/ i felt more male with my sex drive pre-t than i do now. I can only put this down to levels not being right as i'm still have a menstrual cycle but time will tell. I really miss how easy it was to get off before, i'm just trying not to force it right now
