Hi girls, I have a couple questions about figure. I have always found figure to be one area that I have been most unhappy about and have always wanted a more womanly hourglass figure. I have really wanted wide hips as I feel the way they look and move are a vital part of what I should look like.

First of all, did your figure change during your transition? I have read about people's actually bones widening as the skeleton doesn't fully set until you're 18-25 years old, although the fat redistributing will potentially increase hip size.

Also, what ways are there to improve your figure, aside from corsets, clinchers, padded underwear etc.? I am really hoping to have a real womanly figure rather than a rectangle or t-shape figure like a man.

I suppose there are certain exercises you can do to generally trim down which would likely help with your figure. to be honest though, I think a lot of it is just luck of the draw. I started hrt at 40 and while I didn't do great, I did put on a little weight and luckily most of it not to bad places. I still have to be careful to try and use colors and the way my tops are shaped to make my figure look better though.

Hi, Specky!  You might want to consider that a "womanly" figure isn't an "hourglass" one--not for many women anyway.  Check women out and see how many of them have that ideal "hourglass figure" that they're supposed to have.  It's totally up to you, of course, to decide how hard you want to work for one, but it isn't typically womanly.  Just sayin'.

I couldn't think of another word for it. A more 'ideal' feminine figure is suppose the better phrase.
