Idk if this is common knowledge but I thought it was worth sharing.

I've been trying to make my voice deeper and I just found this video:
I followed the instructions and there are people in my house so I didn't want to just start talking to myself so I can't say how long it lasts but I just said "Okay sooo...." and I barely recognized my voice. This works at least for a second, but according to the video, you can pretty much make it go on indefinitely. Just thought some people might find this helpful. :)

Be really careful with this stuff. Stop immediately if your throat hurts. You can actually damage your voice.

That's good to know. It made my throat feel a little sore but I thought it was just because I wasn't used to it. Guess I won't be doing it as much as I planned to.  :-\

Yeah, I watched this video just a few minutes ago and tried it.  My throat's a little sore now.  Won't be doing that again.  I'll stick to sounding like a pre-pubescent boy for now, at least until my endo finally 'scripts me some T.  *rubs hands together menacingly, like a cartoon villain*

Haha, this is my go-to trick! I think it's 2/3rds in my head, but I've done a few recordings and it does make me feel/sound better. I've got a very female sounding voice (#1 comment: "You sound like Buffy Summers!"), so I'll take what I can get.

You guys have to warm up your voice (like singers do) before trying to force yourself to speak in a deeper register. You shouldn't get a sore throat from that exercise unless you do it for an extended period of time.
Just a little faerie punk floating through this strange world of humans.

Wow, that's so cool. I wish I knew about this pre T! By the way, did you figure this on your own?
I am male because I say so and nothing more.
I don't have to look or act like one therefore.

Check out Android and iPhone apps Eva M Breathe and Eva M Pitch. This is by a speech therapist. No doubt better for your voice. This looks a bit problematic.
