Cindy, I'll hoist one with you.

My therapist and I decided that the time has come for me to burn the Sad Old Man's pre-transition journals.  That'll leave nothing but my An update on me... thread covering my transition history.   Farewell, Sad Old Man.  You served me well and kept me safe, but it is time for you to leave now.

Bittersweet, but happy now.  Time to move forward.

NO!

Please don't get rid of the old journals of him. One day you will re read them and take even more strength from them. History is important. It is an insight to your past that is important.

Today I restarted my voice training and got a lot of compliments from my speech therapist, how beautiful I am and how much I changed since we last met.

Made my day! :)

I went hiking with friends and visited the remains of the castle where Richard Lionheart was held captive, after he was captured on his way back from the 3rd crusade.

The weather was fabulous and I feel my energy rushing back into my body now that the sun is shining again.

I was never able to feel such a deep enjoyment in the past that I feel now for such mundane things and activities.

I was on my way back from the city today, where I had been attending the support group, en femme of course.  My wife needed some groceries, so I stopped in a town I normally pass by on the highway.  I went into the supermarket and rounded up the items she needed.  There were a normal number of people in the store, and some of them I had to pass by several times as I went back and forth looking for the items.  Absolutely no one in the store noticed me!

I may not have achieved invisibility, but it seems that I have achieved unremarkability.  That is a big win!  I know I do not pass well enough to go stealth.  If people were to notice me, they might think, "That woman might be trans."  But at least they are not thinking, "That man is wearing a skirt," and they mostly do not notice me at all.  I am just another customer.  Yay!

I've got a couple of things that have made me happy, not just today but over the last few weeks.

A friend visited me the other day & fixed my laptop so big Yay I now have a way to log onto this wonderful site, there's no telling how long my laptop will keep working as I'm a serious jinx around technology.
Last month I received my second opinion for surgery, I've been told that I'll probably have surgery sometime around August this year, after a 7yr battle the end is within sight.

Happy days & best wishes to all you lovely people

I was invited to a birthday party and a few relatives who didn't know attended as well. Everyone was totally accepting and I was treated as the woman I am.

It was the first larger event I attended as me and I'm so happy about the outcome.

I even got a kiss on the hand during the reception! [emoji4]

Today I found the business card of a stylist Randi and I used. She has left the salon we had gone to. She was always our favorite and now we have her back.
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

They say the light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train. I say, climb aboard!

went shopping with the gf for groceries and she made a comment about me getting a dress.. I was this close -><- to getting it, and she said she wouldn't mind...

When we got home, I went and looked at my limited wardrobe to see if I could find a size. I found a skirt that was size 14 that does fit, but its a little tight on the waist. She handed me one of her "new" skirts she bought but never wore and said I could keep it. It matched my shirt perfectly.

Made me feel good shes accepted the desire to dress, but says I shouldn't leave the house like that. Which I agree.

I believe I'm now ready to get my Man Card laminated.  ;D

I've just had a builder come round my house to quote for some work. He wanted to use a strong word to describe how badly damaged he thinks something is, so he said the word quietly and then said "I can say that because there are no women in earshot".

Well... not any more there aren't! ;D

Got my surgery date for beginning of Dec. but there is a chance that it will be earlier. They can tell me in May.

I'm so happy that it will be this year and not in 2018 as I was originally told.

Went on a road trip back to the town where I was born and had some of the best North Carolina BBQ I've ever had. We also visited a restaurant where my mom used to work and ate there too, so it was a foodfest all day haha! At the restaurant I managed to get into the "hombres" room, without being stared at TOO much, which I was happy about. I rarely have the courage and this one was just a single gendered stall, but I still did it. :)

After that I was able to go to a store and get some little things that help with dysphoria.

And around 11:30, I hit 100 subscribers on YouTube!

So aside from a few misgendering instances, I had a really good day. :)
