Cats purr when happy or content. Me?  I bake.

I love the materials, working with flour, sugar, eggs. I love the smells of rising bread, vanilla, or molasses. The textures of dough, the magical changes from kneading and baking all capture my interest.

It's a sort of meditative exercise. From today's meditation:

Earth my body, water my blood, air my breath and fire my spirit.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

I agree that it's meditative. For me baking is motivated by stress, not happiness. I can spend a whole day baking when I'm too tense. Mostly things that need to be kneaded. I need to be needed, too.

April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

They say the light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train. I say, climb aboard!

Yes being trans woman is a life long journey and never ends until last breath. That why I decided to transition at age 58, and I just want to be happy for the rest of my life. One week from now my transition begin.

You and I will get along just fine Michelle, I do the same.  Here is my favorite cookbook for baking.  I have made everything in it, cover to cover.  One Christmas I brought 11 of the recipes with me in metal tins for everybody.  Maybe that was a cry for help:)

BTW, there is a cheesecake in there for Laurie.  Best dang cheesecake kn the world.

you know how far the universe extends outward? i think i go inside just as deep.

10/11/18 - out to the whole world.  100% friends and family support.
11/6/17 - came out to sister, best day of my life
9/5/17 - formal diagnosis and stopping DIY in favor if prescribed HRT
6/18/17 - decided to stop fighting the trans beast, back on DIY.
Too many ups and downs, DIY, purges of self inbetween dates.
Age 10 - suppression and denial began
Age 8 - knew I was different

I've just been cycling in the rain on hilly quiet roads , I got wet but it wasn't cold. I don't think it made me happy as I woke up that way today but it's continuing 😀 I wish you could pm some cheesecakes through to me and I'll try to judge 😊

The boss's wife was in today. She's known me since I was Mike.

"How's it going, Devlyn?"

"Good. I'm legally female now."

"Oh, wow! Welcome to the sisterhood!"

Not a big deal and a little silly, really, because I'm a lesbian, but an admittedly handsome man at the filling station flirted with me this morning. He's barking up the wrong tree, but, ah, vindication!

Thursday it started to snow and today we went outside, we're living in a hilly area, with our Zipflbobs.

It was so much fun! :)

The Video is someone else, just an example:

In fact it was yesterday, the wife of my best friend told me that she can't imagine me as a man anymore. It's a memory of a distant past. [emoji5]

Last night I got to see a bucketlist band! I went down to NJ to see the Descendents and it was amazing! They played almost everything I wanted to hear. I guess they retired "I'm Not A Loser" from their setlist, which I understand, that's fine, but I really would have liked to hear "Jean Is Dead". Oh well, Dez from Black Flag was there and he sang "Jealous Again" with them, it was awesome!! and the band that played before them was an amazing band called The Ergs. This was a reunion show, they broke up in 2008, but their performance was amazing, this was my 10th time seeing them! I'm actually friends with 2 of them, they're great!

I know this is lame, but I got White Castle today! it was my first time eating at one in like 8 or 9 years! They don't have them where I'm from!

I think every town has one of those older gentlemen who walks everywhere and says hello to everyone. I was waiting for the train yesterday and here he came down the platform doing his greetings. He got to me and said:

"How are you today, princess of the rails?"   :)
