I did some selling of items in guy mode today. I said who cares and just stayed in female mode in posture and looked relaxed. I had so many people talk to me and ask how I was doing. And even if I hate my old first name everyone I met used it which is 100% better then sir.

Congratulations on your coming out Raven!

I visited my sister this weekend and dropped a few hints. Feeling now like she will be, at least, somewhat supportive.

Marly I haven't gone out yet. Time was short this morning so I just threw on jeans and t shirt and just did my normal guy look. I'm actually planning to go shopping tonight. I've spent the last three hours making sure everything is perfect. Worked up the courage to show my mother and she says I pass as a bio female right now!

Oh and I was a little scared but I walked outside to get my mail. Dress, shoes, wig and all.

I gave myself a french pedicure, albeit botched but nevermind. Better luck next time. At least when I'm at home I can look at my feet and see something I kinda like.

Well, this was last night, but it still makes me happy.

Went to see Whitesnake from the 5th row.  They played a bunch of Deep Purple songs and even brought out Glenn Hughes to help sing a couple of them.   Watching them sing together was awesome.  They literally hugged and kissed each other, even locking lips on a couple of occasions.   Watching the homophobes cringe was priceless.  I'm pretty sure that neither of them are gay or even bisexual, but it was a great statement.

Pro tip: flirt with the guitar player and get a guitar pick.  It's funny that I have collected far more picks at concerts in the last two years than I did in the entire time before I transitioned.

I had a spicy chicken biscuit for breakfast. It was delicious, really got my day off to a good start.

I am happy that tomorrow is my last day as "him" at work.  On Monday I will be Jessie full time in all aspects of my life (except for traveling, I need to get my passport updated and then get my known traveler info updated).

I had a number of other things that really made today special.  I was informed that the local news station that is following my transition has been given permission by the media relations department of my employer to film at my new work site to document my transition at work.  My new office has my new name on it and they have updated my work ID.  I was able to download my pay stub for the check I am getting on Monday and it is in my new name.  I also received an updated credit card with my new name, my first Jessie credit card!

I also found out that the producer from the TV news station got permission and will be with me on Saturday as I go to my electrolysis appointment.  They are very interested in documenting what it takes to transition.  I am hopeful that they will be able to paint a picture of the real life time, energy, expense and pain that is involved in the process.  While I know that I have kind of blazed through the process, that was only possible because of others who have been the true trailblazers.  It helped that I am the type of person who can look at a problem, research the issue and develop a course of action fairly quickly.  Susan's was invaluable in that process and I know that others have been helped tremendously by this site also.

I hope that I will be able to help educate the public on our issues, issues that are as diverse as we are.  I know my transition is not typical but hope that it can be used as a contrast to show how it should be as opposed to how it is for the majority of our community.  Because of the diversity among our ranks, I don't think that there could ever be a true single spokesperson for us.  But I do think it is important for those of us who can, to reach out and try to educate the world on as many of our issues as we can.  I hope I am up to that challenge.

That's what has made me happy today!!

Well I woke up this morning and set some goals up for myself. Going to find another job before September since its making really unhappy where I'm at. Also applied for a community college and its looks like I'll start in the fall of this year. And I'm going for a degree AA Psychology degree. So doing this hopefully in the next three and a half months I'll just go female full time.

This week my wife and I got away for a few days. Yesterday afternoon , we went into Starbucks for ice tea. When I went to pick up my tea, the guy looked up at me and said ' and for Lady Kelly. your Peach Iced Green Tea!'. When I turned around ago back to our table, I must have had the biggest smile smile ever. I was almost giddy.

Finally warm enough weather to wear shorts. ;D Time to rock my hairy and nowadays pretty nicely muscled legs.

I went out looking as masc as I could (binder and the most androgynous clothes I have :P) and I think I maybe kinda passed? I didn't get gendered so I probably just confused people, but I felt so good regardless. I actually felt like myself for once.

Oh, and my leg hair is going strong. My winter coat has lasted through the spring and is now living on through summer! xD

I got to see Faith No More's set live at Hellfest in France online.  ;D :icon_dance: I love it. I can sit in my apartment and watch a band live as they play thousands of miles away from me.

BUT, I am still hoping to see them in person some day. I have to see them at least once before it all ends.

I found clothes that actually fit! Took five hours and four different stores. (Why is there no section for petite men?!) But now I have a work outfit that doesn't make me look like a child playing dress up and some sharp exercise clothes. :D :D :D I feel spiffy as heck.

Well, here is my first contribution to this thread. I started electro on my face a while back but I thought I'd also give laser a try. Had my first session last Monday. After exactly a week, I'm sitting by my desk at work, I had to scratch my chin and my facial hair is literally falling out. I'm shedding like my dog all over my face and neck. It's funny I was beginning to write laser off.....

Speaking of happy, can anyone tell me how to change my user name? When I joined I wasn't far enough yet but now I need to change it.

Thanks

LordKAT

Typo,

PM any mod with how you want your name changed. They will take care of their end and you will receive an email to reset your password.
