I'm not much for this website but I do like this article all in all

I am not against religion at all,  in fact I'm all for it!  However,  I am against institutions of God through Jesus that ignore the fact in Genesis we are all fallen in the flesh, the spirit as we were originally created in Adam and Eve was removed after sin entered the picture.

Jesus' sacrifice was so we could once again attain God's spirit in us and strain heaven solely on faith thru Him,  not works.

The SBC is digging in it's heels with law,  not grace.  They are missing a golden opportunity to outreach to the transgender community thru Him and not via politics.

But alas, they choose law and politics to keep their sheep in line,  disallowing diverse people from ever being members of these churches.

Perhaps a visit from the SBC policy makers to Jim Cymbala's church in New York, the Brooklyn Tabernacle,  is in order so they can see first hand how a traditional church has God's power and diversity, without the need to create any cultural fighting.

I live in Nashville and welcome any opportunity to converse with any of the SBC people over lunch or dinner regarding their position on transgender issues.
