So as most people probably could tell a few weeks ago, I was super excited to see the endocrinologist referred by my therapist for the first time. I knew not to expect a prescription on the first visit, but, wow, things went awful. First of all I had to leave at 7 in the morning coming off work at 4 am. I then arrived at 8:35 and had to wait 2 hours for my appointment that was supposed to be at 9:15. I finally see him and low and behold he can't find my HRT letter that was supposed to have arrived. Turns out it was sent to the place they hold medical records and they didn't find it until later that day after my therapist called the office. So, the whole appointment was pretty much my doctor questioning me on whether or not I really have a therapist and had to go through the whole are you sure talk for most of the appointment.

He then gave me a physical examination where he found that I have a goiter that I need to have an ultrasound on. Combined with late puberty and small testes I probably have some form of a thyroid condition, which is far more likely than an intersex diagnosis. I also had my blood drawn for lab work, I didn't think they were going to take so much blood. The nurse thought I as weird for giggling so much, but come on I had like more than 10 vials drawn.

So on the 19th I'll find out whether or not I'm good to go on HRT and what's the deal with my thyroid gland.

Also I apologize for my absence, truth be told visiting this site while waiting for my appointment was making me antsy and stressed by the wait to start.
