Havent been to my T checkup appointments

ok so I'm suppose to get my bloodwork and checked up on every three months while being on T (at least for now, the dr. wants to keep ontop of it). However I haven't been to the doctor since starting T in May. I been busy working so much, I had to keep rescheduling. I finally have a set appointment in December and I will be around 7 months on T then. Should I be worried that I haven't had bloodwork done or anything since starting T? I feel fine and the changes are happening at a good pace for me.

I would be kind of worried because you just started so you don't know if your dose is too much... Too little probably isn't that big of a deal but my t levels always seem to be too high when I get my blood done, even 4 years in.

I personally, would be uncomfortable with that, but that is me.  Maybe you can ask that he print out a lab slip for you to stop by and pick up.  You can at least get your lab work done right away then and he will call you if there is something concerning.  That way you don't have to worry until your appointment.

There are some possible side effects of T that your doc would probably want to check for -- things like polycythemia (elevated red blood cell count), elevated liver enzymes, etc.). But there's no point worrying about these things right now -- just keep that appointment, and worry about them if your test results show problems.

You can at least get your lab work done right away then and he will call you if there is something concerning.

I've been really slack on my bloodwork too, it's meant to be every 3 months but it has been over a year. o.O I keep procrastinating. It bothers me, but not to the extent that I do anything about it.

Don't you all get me to whuup up on you guys! Get those level checks so you will be around a long, long time!

Please, do have those levels checked. Especially at the start of T things can get whacky. What is a normal dose for most, doesn't have to be a normal dose for others. For example, I had a very regular dose of Sustanon, yet my T levels were double the maximum levels. For a short period of time, that won't do any damage. But in the long run....I'm glad they caught it early. So yeah, have those levels checked!

Thanks guys, I will! Everything has been happening so fast, i just haven't had time but I'm def going to get them checked this time on my appointment, was just a little concerned is all. I know I won't wait this long again.

you could go to your family dr and ask for blood work?
