So, I will start this with a little anecdote, My insurance company called me, and when I answered the phone she asked me if my husband could come to the phone lol, so I told her to call back in half an hour. This time a male agent called me, and I tried to talk sounding male since the name on my policy is my old name and I haven't got it changed just yet. So he gives me the reason he is calling and whatnot, asking to schedule a meeting to go over and renew my policy. So after I find a time that works for me he asks me "So Mrs.[oldlastname] do you go by [ex wifes first name] or [ex wifes middle name] so that I know what to tell the receptionist". I didn't know what to say so I said "[ex wife's first name] will not be attending" which confused the heck out of him, but he still set the appointment.
So, since I have been actually using my voice lots on mumble and teamspeak for games (since unlike IRL I pay lots of attention to my voice because they can't see me on comms). I seem to have forgot how to speak male, like I gave it my best attempt and the insurance agent still thought I was female. This makes me happy, but I used to do lots of practice, and it didn't really get that good, but now that I am actually using it, my voice sounds much better and more natural....
This all leads me to think, using your voice seems much more effective than practicing your voice, what do you think?
