...you casually mention to a friend over tea that you may need a double orchiectomy, she looks horrified and says, "you don't want to do that!" You arch your eyebrow and she muses, "oh, maybe you do."
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

They say the light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train. I say, climb aboard!

even when playing a mmorpg, people can tell you don't belong to your biological gender. I play a female toon and I say I'm male,  but than I get the question "are you sure that your not a girl?" fumny , never knew you could be called out even on a computer game.

When you have 2 chin hairs and say you have a goatee.

When you see "SRS Airbag" in your car and you go "what the heck?"

You know you're trans when...

You become acutely aware of "female" and "male" mannerisms...and find yourself mimicking those of the opposite sex.

You constantly worry if you're "passing."

Your face lights up when someone uses the right pronouns (or whenever you pass to strangers).

You would rather be the ugliest guy than the most beautiful girl. (Flipped for MTFs)

...you're jealous of Malachite's second chin-hair because you only have one.

...when you look in the mirror and see the woman you know you are even though you aren't in makeup or fem clothes...
...when you see other women and wonder what it would be like to be them...
...when you truly miss putting on your bra and makeup in the morning when you know you have to be a boy that day...

When you realize that your life is never going to be the same again and that does not bother you one iota.

when you get overwhelmed by the amount of things with your birth name on them , and the thought of having to fix them gives you headaches

Lyrics for a song I wrote

This ain't a scam
It's who I am
I am a man inside
This ain't a dream
Stop being mean
And just accept it.
I am ready to shine!
Ready to fight for that dream of mine
I am a man inside

When someone says "I'm going cut your balls/dick off" and you're thinking how much you like the idea.

...when you walk to school crying and singing "Tomorrow, Tomorrow" while wishing you could be Annie.
...when you see a pretty girl on the street and instead of thinking "I want to be with her", you think "I want to be her".
...when you become a self-taught expert in anatomy & physiology and endocrinology
I'll do what I can to show her the way,
And maybe one day I will free her,
Though I know no one can see her...

Pretty much all my knowledge on these subjects stems from being trans. :D

You find yourself answering to the full female version of your birth name way more often than the male version.
Friends and their family decide the full female version of your bith name suits you very well.

(The name I was given is a common use nickname. ie Jo, Sam, Danni. Not Joanna/Joseph,  Samantha/Samuel, Danielle/Daniel)

... when the lady at the Ulta finds it difficult to believe you've never tried to use makeup before.

... when you become hyper aware of gendered interactions, even when they're not directed at you.

... When you fidget every few minutes to make sure nothing slipped or unbound.

... when you have to awkwardly explain you got your shoes online because no stores carry your size.

... when you get stares for looking amazing in a clothing store, and yet none of the clothes there fit or are tall enough.

... when you forget differences between binary restrooms because you've been using your preferred one for so long.

... you live with the understanding that being yourself comes with great risk. Loss of family, friends, home, etc is so prominent in trans groups, it makes you that much more thankful for what you have.

... you magically know which foods are full of potassium to avoid and which plants are full of phytoestrogens. MMMMM SOYBEANS.

... when being addressed correctly makes you giddy.

when you can't shave because of an electrolysis appointment so you just don't go anywhere for a couple days

So much this.

Also getting upset because you have to go places and laser isn't affecting all the hairs, or you have to shave too frequently and you get razor bumps.

When you open your drawer to grab some underwear and wonder why your boxers are all drab colors instead of colorful pretty panties.

When you hate the sight of your hairy body and wish it were extremely light or completely gone.

When you walk by a female clothes store and wish you had the courage to go in and pick up a few things.

When you see women not as dating material but as examples of what you'd like to look, sound, and appear like.
