Generally the women's rooms are cleaner and nicer. (Some malls both are equally dirty. For some reason malls seem to be the worst.) Some of the women's bathrooms in nicer establishments (like fancy restaurants, upscale department stores and even a Synagogue that our local PFLAG meeting is held in) have a lounge area with couches and end tables kind of like a lobby to the bathroom, sometimes with a separate counter and mirror for brushing hair, etc. You would never see anything like that in the mens room at the same establishments.

Some places my wife an I frequent, we frequented them prior to transitioning, so I've been in both at those places.

At work here our men's restroom has a counter and a mirror for brushing hair or fixing your appearance. I haven't been to the ladies yet so I really can't tell what is in there. But, I work at a TV station, so it's expected I guess.

Just that the pee stains are differently placed in the toilet. Otherwise, the tampoon and pads container is quite helpful to leave my ID card and pocket contents.

In the public ones, less graffity. At least so far I havent found another person's cum. And BTW, the issue with not lowering the lid seems to affect us equally.

Hooks to put your handbag and other bags on (at eye level) because "thieves operate in this area" - Sydney Central Station yesterday.

I've heard guys very clearly jerking off in the stalls.

:o Oh my God!

Wow...that is REALLY messed up. I've never come across that. Wow....

The last time I was in a Men's room was a few months back. I had an appointment with my neurologist. My mom and I both had to make use of the facilities, so I said "screw it" and ducked into the Men's room.  :D I had no choice in the matter. Luckily, no one came in and no one was attempting to come in as I was going out.

But some women's restrooms are utterly vile. I remember going into the women's room at a gas station and one of the stalls was a frickin' biohazard. It looked like someone's anus had exploded all over the toilet. How I didn't vomit instantly was a mystery. I rushed into the second stall, did my business, washed my hands and got out of there as quickly as I could.

There was another time where I was at the mall and the women's room was closed. Apparently, some freak decided that it would be fun to smear fecal matter on the walls.  :icon_blah: So, I went to the K-mart to use their women's room. IT was also closed because of the same thing!! WHY would anyone do that?!

People are so disgusting!

But, I have been in a few women's rooms that actually smelled nice, had a vase with flowers and all that. But they were certainly in the minority.

I found a used pregnancy test in the ladies at Kmart today. It was negative. Otherwise it was clean. I hope negative was the result she was looking for.

I have heard it followed by what is presumably the "happy ending" then a "click click" sound of an iPhone screen lock, followed by paper shuffling and flush... thanks for putting that image in my head. Then they just get out of the stalls and don't even wash their hands... or even use hand sanitizer.

Gross.

I have stopped shaking hands here.
