Not to be a topper for strangeness, but I'm taking my children and having dinner with my ex in-laws. My ex-wife won't be there as she's having dinner with her boyfriend and his family. These are strange days we live in. Strange indeed.  ;D

That is odd.  But it sounds like her family accepts you.  So that's something.

If I'm good enough for travel, I will go to Texas to visit my long-lost sister (no joke!) for Thanksgiving. Otherwise it is with my siblings here in town. I usually do the carving duties and I bring over the garden vegetables I canned over the past summer. She and her husband aren't going anywhere this year due to the budget breaking cost of their daughter's wedding I attended this past June. My other niece and a nephew both with families of their own, live nearby plus a few from her church attend the feast at her house.  I usually visit on Thanksgiving about every other year and she and her husband come over in the summer on various times. We have gotten very close over the years since she found us.

This will be my first without my family.  :( Just my son and I. I am not real sure how I feel about it this year to be honest.  :-\
