I'm thinking this might even be the definitive version of the story, once it's all said and done. Everything about Crystal is awesome!

They're even panel for panel with the original manga at times. There is virtually zero of the filler/monster-of-the-week stuff that plagued the original anime so badly. So the emotional impact hits way harder, at least for me. :)

The only problem I can notice is that the pacing of the plot might be a little rushed for some. They've already done the Princess reveal, and it was amazing.

Any other Moonies out there? :)

I haven't seen it yet cuz I still haven't finished the earlier animes so I'm working my way through that before i watch crystal.

I have seen the transformation sequences tho and have been very disappointed

It seems to me that the CG in other countries is lower quality than we'd see out of Hollywood, and the people in those countries are ok with/used to that. You would think that Japan, being so tech-savvy, wouldn't be that way, but...

I don't miss the monster of the day thing, but I did enjoy it in the old series. I'm sad that I seem to be the only person who actually enjoys that anime format, haha. I do appreciate that it's more fast-paced than the old one, but also think it's a little TOO fast.
Just a little faerie punk floating through this strange world of humans.

Going to agree, I've been watching it, and the pacing and execution of the story are WAY better. The original show dragged a lot, this one really hits all of the emotional marks and hits them well. I've been having a great time watching it! It's like being 12 all over again!

The only things that I'm not a fan of, are the new overly-CGIed transformation sequences, and the fact that they opted to get rid of some of the super-deformed humor. That to me gave the show better humor back in the day, and really helped Serena look like the over-dramatic pathetic crybaby that she was in the beginning of the show.

Minor nitpicks. I love this show!
