gotta love being surrounding by narrow minded conservatives! it's okay for them to have religious groups, but the community can't have one to help students that are potentially suicidal?

You know what?

I'd like to see the GSA organization in the school support them with uplifting pro straight messages and posters. Maybe even get an LBGT student to talk to whatever administrator or teacher that wants to actually run it to help them design a straight pride flag. Let them know the LGBT students are open to helping the straight pride organization figure out how to deal with discrimination and government oppression, and how to deal with when the government takes away your rights or uses their straightness as a tool to drum up votes for a party then doesn't actually do anything for the poor straight cis people.

I am of course, being sarcastic ... as the name of the club is the gay STRAIGHT ALLIANCE club which means they're already welcome to attend, and it's already a club that, by definition, involves straight cisgender people on campus.

Well, not really. Thousands of schools have GSAs. They're considered a good way to prevent bullying. Actually pretty atypical and distressing. I'm hoping some local LGBT groups can put some pressure on him.

they did! there was a petition and ultimately he had to allow the group to form, due to legal issues.
