I want to once again say something to the girls who show up on the forum header as Guests. But before I do it seems like I have to say something about all the girls here on Susan's who helped me.
Many years ago I wondered if I'd ever have the nerve to look for advice and beg for help by posting on Susan's. My old posts are gone now since I deleted that original forum profile, but trust me, I was a real basket case. And as I've said before, "You girls who were here then must remember how messed up I was". This forum kept me going through some very hard times, and I can never say "Thank you" enough to the girls who helped. I no longer visit the forum every day, and sometimes go a couple weeks without reading a post. But I do still visit, and post once in a while about my life, fear, joy, and the mundane day to day problems.
So this is really for all you Guests who linger about and wonder if you'll ever have the nerve to join the forum to ask questions, expose your fears, or even let someone else know you're having a gender issue. Please don't worry, and just join in anyway.
I know, you think about what would happen if someone saw your account info on the computer, and worse you fear that someone you know will actually see a post you made. Let me assure you that these things mean so little compared to the joy found in getting advice that's given directly to you and not someone else. The girls on Susan's will answer your questions, comfort you in difficulties, and become never seen friends that you can rely on for advice. All you need to do is ask, and with that first question you may step into a new chance for the life you've always wanted.
Well, I've got work to do and places to go, and I'll be doing it all as Katherine. Something I couldn't have done three years without help, and quite of bit of that help came from Susan's.
