Ramada Inn - Neil Young

So many years now together
All those good times, ups and downs
So many joys raising up those kids
They've moved on now, out of town

So many times she tried
So many times she cried

And every morning comes the sun
And they both rise into the day
Holding on to what they've done

She loves him so
She loves him so
She loves him so
She does what she has to

She loves him so
She loves him so
She loves him so
She does what she needs to

In a Ramada Inn near the Grapevine
They stop to rest for the night
Traveling down South, looking for good times
Visiting old friends feels right

People they haven't seen in forever
Since high school, San Jose times
Some restaurant food and a bottle
Had a few drinks
Now they're feeling fine

And every morning comes the sun
And they both rise into the day
Holding on to what they've done

He loves her so
He loves her so
He loves her so
He does what he has to

He loves her so
He loves her so
He loves her so
He does what he needs to

Seem like lately things are changing
Seem like lately things are goin' South
A few drinks now and she hardly knows him
He just looks away and checks out

And when she says "it's time to do something,
Maybe talk to his old friends who gave it up."
He just pours himself another tall one
Closes his eyes and says "that's enough"

And every morning comes the sun
And they both rise into the day
Holding on to what they've done

She loves him so
She loves him so
She loves him so
She does what she has to

He loves her so
He loves her so
He loves her so
He does what he needs to

And every morning comes the sun
And they both rise into the day
Holding on to what they've done

He loves her so
He loves her so
He loves her so
He does what he has to

She loves him so
She loves him so
She loves him so
She does what she needs to

Glen Campbell ~ I'm Not Gonna' Miss You
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain, I like watchin' the puddles gather rain.

Despite all my rage, I'm still just a rat in a cage

Good song, good album. :)

Great band, back when they still had The Rev (god rest his soul). Still putting out good tunes, but...there's just something missing.

For sure. I actually couldn't get into Nightmare so much and Hail to the King was bland, but Waking the Fallen, City of Evil and self-titled were really enjoyable. Heck, even Sounding the Seventh Trumpet had its charms.... Warmness on the Soul... <3

Still worthy of blasting in traffic though [emoji13]

Courtney Barnett, History Erasor.

I was up late watching rage one night and they introduced a newbie from Melbourne, and man I was just blown away. This isn't the song they showed, but mm I'm in love with her.

"puts on sunglasses"

It's party time!

Gettin' Tighter - Deep Purple

(Bolin/Hughes)

When night time comes
And I'm ten thousand miles away
Just lose yourself
And watch the band kick back and play

Get up--keep in line
It's gettin' tighter all the time
You say you're feelin' fine
It's gettin' tighter all the time

Get a load off your mind
This place is right
It's hard to find
The mood is set alright
It's gonna be a long long night
You keep spinnin' 'round
You find it hard to touch the ground
And time is all it takes
You'll find it easy once you make

Get up--keep in line
It's gettin' tighter all the time
Gettin' tighter
Gettin' tighter
