When mom was not home I wore her knee high boots
Dad was away at work for two weeks at a time
And these were the years when identity was kind
I paraded down the halls which in dreams were a spook

My ex-girlfriend's lipstick brought out my complexion and hair
She stood beside me adoring her "Honey Bun"
And now in years more recent I have begun
To syncretize my whole being with fashion and flair  :-*

Eva Marie once told me that it's impossible NOT to feel sexy wearing knee-high boots. My image of myself as a woman totally changed when I got my first pair of knee-highs. Even now, more than a year into full-time, they give me a sense of power when I wear them.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

I agree that knee high boots allow us to assert ourselves in a positive way, and, at the same time, make a fashion statement. I so want some boots that just go over the calf and accentuate my calves. That would make me feel sexy and full of Holiday cheer! Peace.

This reminded me of the last time I was in Forever XXI. I put on a pair of knee high boots & strut around the store with them while my friend was laughing at me & telling me to take them off. I was like 6 foot in them but it was lovely.

That's so true!  I never realized it until you recalled that anecdote!

The sexy feeling works until you trip and fall down the stairs at college in front of everyone while wearing them - ask me how I know

I've had one pair of knee-high boots...they were just a bit too small, but while I had them on...OMG gotta get another pair! (I gave that pair away to a low-income neighbor lady for C'mas...gotta work the karma-gods!)
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...
