Mark has one son, his namesake. That son is transitioning to become his daughter. They talked about how the father-son dynamic shaped their relationship and how a gender transition will change it.

This is a conversation between my Dad and I about my transition.  I'm feel a little dorky posting this because I produced it and don't want to come off as spammy.  But I am so proud of how my Dad handled this conversation I have to share it.  Please excuse my voice, I did this kind of as my last thing to do in boymode.

"Choosing to be true to one's self — despite challenges that may come with the journey — is an integral part of realizing not just one's own potential, but of realizing the true nature of our collective human spirit. This spirit is what makes us who we are, and by following that spirit as it manifests outwardly, and inwardly, you are benefiting us all." -Andrew WK

I loved listening to this conversation. You often hear about transition through the point of view of the individual going through it.  It is rare to hear from the point of view of a father who up until this point has only ever known the individual sitting across from them as their son.  Thank you for sharing this with us.

That was amazing to have such a bond. I loved my father and took care of him before he passed , but I was never really able to talk to him because of my hidden self. thanks for sharing.
