a better sounding version of a 1969 Zappa recording. Put it on after the download finished (not an official release).
Glorious.
Playing a ballet piece followed by a doo-wop piece, that is typical Zappa and the Mothers absurdity. Then one of the earliest known renditions of a Zappa staple being extended by 10 minutes of soloing. Then a medley of two Zappa tunes and a drum duet. Then the recording cuts out. Bummer. But apparently this tape was edited by Zappa himself. In fact, if you combine this with a certain officially released excerpt, you get the part directly after where it cuts out, apparently edited from the very source tape stolen by bootleggers.
Great quality too.
Listening to Queen live in Mannheim 1986 now. Glorious gig, Freddie was in great vocal shape that day. This show was broadcast live on the german radio station SWR3. Fish (Marillion) joined them for their rendition of "Tutti Frutti" as he did at at least one more gig that tour. They opened for Queen on this final tour.
Great rendition of "Under Pressure" with Freddie singing "Sat on the fence, but it didn't F***ING WORK!". There's a great moment during Love Of My Life after he sings "I still love you" where he yells to the audience "AND DON'T YOU FORGET IT!".
Later on i'll finish off "Zappadan" with another listening session, this time a group listening session.
