I know this topic has been talked about a lot but just wanted to throw out 3 docs that I'm considering for forehead reduction, hairline advancement and a brow lift while they're in there.

1.  Facial Team EU
2.  Dr Dimaggio
3.  Dr. Zukowski

I like the first two because their forehead works seems aggressive but natural.

I like the idea of Dr. Z's less invasive endoscopic approach but not convinced he can make as big of a change.

While I don't have a neanderthal forehead, I do have quite a bit of bossing.  :)

Thanks for your feedback.

Please note traveling and money not important as I would prefer to do whatever it takes to get this right the first time.

BTW: My avatar pic was taken 2 days ago and you'll notice I always wear bangs to cover my forehead.

I'm in the same boat, I'm on the brink of deciding between the Facial Team, DiMaggio, and Meltzer. I'm active online regarding trans stuff but barely spend any time at Susans, and was surprised to see so much anti-DiMaggio stuff here. And anti-Melzer for that matter, I noticed a couple comments. I still have a lot of digging through this forum to do.

I have met with DiMaggio and Meltzer in person, and I have a skype consult with the Facial Team coming up.

I picked those three based on whose before & after results I liked the best, after looking at photos from every doctor I could find, partially thanks to the ffs-support yahoo group. Based on the results photos, Dr. O would be on my list if he weren't retiring, and if I were considering Thailand I'd think about Chet too.

DiMaggio, I'm a little suspicious of his noses, and his unwillingness to answer my concerns about it in person, but maybe that was a language barrier? Meltzer, I have some other minor gripes.

Even after reading complaints, I have full confidence that all three of my choices can hold a scalpel straight and do complicated type III forehead work and have a similarly low chance of complication. What I'm concerned with is their artistic choices. So basically where I'm at now is, I'm going to decide based on the virtual mockups from all three...which is like pulling teeth to get them to do it, but I'm gonna keep at them.

Facial team and Dimaggio are also on my radar because of their forehead work. Im probably a year away from doing surgery but my initial research and study of the surgeries have honed me in on them. From pictures, to personal accounts and postings on here. Im impressed with their ability especially with women with very european/Mediterranean type facial features (me).

I haven't had any consults with anyone but I'm also reluctant to go with Dr. Z for the same reasons you mentioned.

HRT - 3/18/15

I'm 2 weeks postop from surgery with Dr. Di Maggio at the moment, and will let you ladies know about my experiences with him in a month or two.

Yes AmySun, please! Thanks. Especially with a little more firsthand positive feedback, and pics of very current work, I could commit to him very soon. Thanks for speaking up.

In the meanwhile, how was DiMaggio about addressing your specific artistic goals? One of my concerns, as I said, was his reluctance to talk details about noses.

Thanks again!

Dr. Di Maggio spends a lot of time talking to his patients (he only performs a max of two FFS surgeries a week), and he walked me from my apartment to the bank to exchange cash on the last day I was in BA, and for, in my opinion, a world class surgeon, it was refreshing to see that he is a very down-to-earth person.  With that said, as English is not his native language, it is not easy for him to speak about specific details concerning surgery.  For example, although he knows the literal meaning of most English words, he wouldn't understand many colloquialisms, which is understandable.  In my particular situation, after my surgery in the last visit, he was trying to communicate to me how I might need a chin implant to make my chin appear smaller.  Which is something I just could not grasp, how addition = visible reduction.  It was only after I visited Dr. Barts FFS website, and saw his chin work that I understood what he was trying to convey, but at the time I was rather confused.  Perhaps it would be best to bring him an album of photos of noses and tell him what you like and dislike about each, to get an understanding if you're both on the same page.

At the moment personally, I still have significant swelling in the eye and lower mouth area (everywhere).  The persisting eye swelling I believe is due to having a blepharoplasty in conjunction with all the forehead work.  And I had significant lower mouth work done, where he said he reduced the jaw bone by 2 cm.  Thats why I would want to wait until I am closer to seeing my final result before writing my assessment of his work (at the time of this writing though my brow looks amazing, and can' believe how smooth it is.  I know you can't tell by my pictures but my brow bossing was EXTREME, where I can show you my X-rays, which is the what caused me to change FFS surgeons, where I previously had full FFS scheduled with Dr. Mayer).  My general experience was a positive one though.  He works with a very friendly staff that checks on you regularly during your stay.

Also his goal is to always make sure that your face looks very natural, where people would not know you had plastic surgery.  I briefly saw Jenn, when she  was two weeks postop, and could not tell that she just had full FFS as she looks like a stunning young woman (however, I don't want to speak for her experience as I'm sure she was very pretty pre-surgery).  Another patient who was operated on the same week as me had IMO great results also (I'll ask her if I can get her permission to post before/after photos taken of her).  I guess I am unfortunate in that my healing is taking a bit longer, but hopefully I'll be able to put together my own thread soon!
